Let us discuss the films BM has directed, touched your heart forever. Azhiyatha kolangal, Moonram pirai, Veedu, Neengal kaetavai, Marupadiyum, Sathileelavathi, Moodu pani and more..

I saw this Azhiyatha kolangal five years back, I still remember the effect it had on me.. No one in Tamil cinema had ever done such a beautiful film on such a subject although some of the scenes are too much.

  Sathi Leelavathi was inspired by She Devil.
  
  But I rate SL much higher than SD.
  
  Also I've been told Aliyaatha Kolangal is inpired by some English movie (Summer of '49 or something) I've never sen the english movie though.

  Happened to watch the song Nalam Vaazha from Marupadiyum recently, What a song !!! (havent paid much attention to this brilliant creation earlier) great singing and music, especially the flute interlude, so smooth, I had to see rewind and watch many times just to be satisfied, Revati looks vunerable and striking, hats off to IR the genius.

  Was Marupadiyum based on Arth? (a trendsetting and mature movie with great music by Jagjit singh and great acting by Shabana Azmi) Marupadiyum is on my movie to be seen list.

  The song 'Nalam Vaazha' has great lyrics too. Vali has done such a wonderful job in this song and in this movie as a whole. The lines 'Manithargal silneram gunam maralam' has been sort of etched in my mind and has helped me to a maintain a balance in life many times.
