AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Also; use this thread to discuss this album..

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  We are talking about ambleen & Dinesh. I was very aware and intentionally did not bring in any other party inside this arguement as it will lead to a very long trial. If you know what I mean. If I ask ambleen he will blame an older incident with you for him to react this way now and after that you will counter that with another incident and then it will lead to or involve a quote or incident from yet another person and I bet it will be endless.
  
  So, I am talking about just the 2 persons only. The arguement of just these two. We have to be fair and not bring in past history as both can't prove right or wrong.
  But from the way I see the above, calling IR what Dinesh called really demeans much more than ambleen's direct up-front throw up of words to Dinesh.

  yup..what u were saying is true enough...
  and so to settle it...
  can we have some sort of mannerism...(that's including me)...when posting our point of views..
  
  1) do not use foul languages
  2) do not demean someone's(MD) achievement
  3) please post some readable comments
  4) try to give respect in order to gain some.
  
  I am ready to follow these rules..
  and ppl should at least try to follow these..guidelines...please

  boyz was screened in australia on the same day boys screened in india......... i don't know where they got info boyz banned in australia. i saw the movies twice in sydney. people will laugh if u guies spread rumours boyz banned in australia.

  boys banned in australia ???????? thats the most stupid info that i've heard recently.. well, can u tell me y its banned(i dont have any subscription to dinamalar).. if u tell me coz of vulgar scenes etc i wud call that reporter the most crazy moron..
  for ur kind info, tamil movies that get screened in australia will run for 1 or 2 weeks and then they get removed coz of no repeat audience. the only exception in recent times was BABA - 4 weeks - not coz the movie was great but there was good response-reason-rajini's movie after close to 3 years.
  after that boys is the only movie which has ran for 3 weeks in melbourne.

  I happened to see 'Boys' last week. A really dumb, juvenile and immature attempt by Shankar. I didnt find anything extraorinarily obscene that people should spend sleepless nights...but the overall movie was stupid. But as in his other movies, a few individual scenes were brilliant, typical of Shankar.

  Same feeling I had. Immatured. No proper transition between scenes. Many useless scenes because he wanted to show all 5 of the boys.
  Messed up Ale Ale with too much repitition. dating and girlfriends picturization were totally unprofessional. I wonder what made Shankar to think the highly mature student population will appreciate this.
  
  Movie not worth the theater money. Music is excellent. Something that I can run down my car windows and listen to it proudly. In my opinion this movie does not deserve this music. Remove the songs and lets see how many throng the theaters.
