Murali:
Definitely we can work out the time details later. I am sorry that I cannot do this this weekend as I will be moving in to my new apartment and might be off for the long weekend (next weekend). We will try to fix up some time that is convenient for all of us.
I believe myself, Shibu and MS are in the same time zone. Exception being yourself. Do not worry... OK?
We guys do not get time....that is the only problem.....but we guys do get great inspiration from Raaja's tunes that helped us bringing almost a major chunk of his works to the internet. I am sure that is what is driving you too.
If fans visiting our sites could discuss about their thoughts about the specific songs being uploaded at this forum then that would be an added inspiration to all of us. Unfortunately we could see a lull in this aspect... Also certain fans have the knowledge to comment on the technical nuances of raagas and music.....like Srinath, Geetha etc....Unfortunately we are not able to see them here regularly too.... If such knowledgeble fans can share their learned thoughts over here, then it would be even more interesting for the webmasters to pump more numbers here.
This is one feeling which myself and Shibu share together. Let us hope that this happens.

Balaji:
I was listening to some of the songs in your site, particularly "Raaja ponnu adi", "Pani vizhum poo" were having a fair amount of distortion in them. Just curious to know whether the distortion was there in the cassette itself...If so nothing could be done......but if they were distortions produced during encoding time, then definitely you can concentrate on reducing distortions for your future uploads.
Again wish to sincerely commend you on the wonderful features, particularly the user
friendly features of your site, for which you have taken considerable pains!! Kudos to you!!
Shibu:
"Mathapoovu oru penn aagatha" from MICHAEL MADANA KAAMARAAJAN can be included in my next few uploads as I have got it back from Coimbatore. Saw your mail. Will reply at leisure. Thanks for the mail.

Rex,
a request. i have been one of the frequent visitors to your site, to enjoy all the rare melodies of raja that u upload tirelessly. but of late iam seeing more of common hits like 'pootri paadadi ponne'(available in gireesan's site), yejamaan songs(already available) and songs from latest films that would soon be available in other tamil music sites. in my opinion, i feel that it is songs like 'adhikaalai nerame' from meendum oru kaathal kathai that have attracted people to your site time and again. So, i would request you to upload as many rare hits of raaja from the early eighties and late seventies and cut down on the new/common songs. this is just my opinion. if u feel otherwise, let me know.

Vijay:
I have noted down your comments in all earnestness and you can see for yourself how my uploads are going to be in the coming days.
But I also need to clarify this. Sometimes fans request me to upload such not-so-rare numbers too as they feel that the quality of such songs in other sites are not too good. Examples for such numbers are the songs that you have mentioned and many others like "Azhagiya kanne uravugal", etc.... Sometimes, I feel that I need to cater to such requests too.......
Also at those times, not many webmasters were uploading Raaja's numbers (Balaji, Murali, MS, etc are uploading the numbers only very recently). So when such requests came to me, I could not ignore them. You yourself can see the difference in encoding quality for the songs found in my site vis-a-vis the same songs available in other sites......
The main reason that this site of mine attracts considerable amount of traffic is due to the reason you have mentioned as well as for another important reason: Audio Quality of Songs.
However I will restrict to most rare ones in future. Thanks for your input.
BTW, are you the same Raaja fan of Coimbatore Medical College with whom I had lunch the other day at Coimbatore???

India trip was great and I have just joined duty in Atlanta. Actually I am accessing the site using my laptop and can start my bonanza uploads only on June 30th when I will be comfortably settled in my new apartment.
As soon as I move in this Sunday and if I manage to get the telephone line immediately, then I will be starting my regular uploads....
Until then I have given some tit-bits from SELVI and KAAKAI CHIRAGINILEY. Enjoy!!

I have added to my page a high quality (3 MB) G2 compatible real audio file of "Vandhe maatharam" of Kaalaapaani. It is the composition which made Javed Aktar shower praises on the Maestro. IMO, it just goes deep into you and stirs in you a dose of patriotism matched only by the orchestrated version of the National Anthem.
I sincerely dedicate this humble piece of work to all those gallant soldiers who are fighting sleeplessly for the comfort of their brethren.
the file is of very high quality and I request everyone to get a feel of it.
regards
MS

I appreciate your great gesture! Surely will listen to it (I have never heard it before).
Rex:
Pls upload 1) Vizhiyile Mani Vizhiyil Mouna Mozhi Pesum Annam (Great song!) and 2) Yaar thoorigai thandha oviyam (Did u get this?) first. Also, I am eagerly waiting for more BGM pieces.
All webmasters:
As we upload more & more IR songs, let us try to upload more BGMs also. If any of u guys get a chance to encode Aruvadai Naal bgm, that would be great. One of my friend, a great admirer of IR, has been troubling me to try for this film BGM for a long time. Says, he listened to that so many years ago, but still cherishes those sweet sounds.
You guys could try Vanna Vanna Pookkal also. There is one lengthy piece coming when Prasanth searches for the heroine in the woods.

Raj:
Just some numbers right at top of my head....
1. Numbers that Murali has mentioned including "yaar thoorigai thandha"....
2. "Udhaya Kaalame " from the movie Panjami, I suppose
3. "Maalai Sooda Kanne Raadha Naal Varadha" from KANNE RAADHA
4. "Kaaviriye kaaviriye" from ARCHANAI POOKAL
5. "Metti Metti" from METTI
6. "Oru Kaaviyam" from ARUVADAI NAAL by Isaignani.
7. "Pottene Poovilangu" and "Aathadi Paavadai" from POOVILANGU
8. Many other rare hits from 75-80s period which I do not recollect at top of my head......
Surely you can expect a bonanza.....
As far as the BGMs are concerned, I will be uploading the BGMs only on a weekly basis. The BGMs might include some dialogues too as such BGMs that I have recorded are having beautiful interludes as part of the dialogues.....So if I ignore the dialogues, then the originality will be lost. Also when I do those uploadings, people can appreciate to what extent feelings can be conveyed by the BGMs of Maestro.
To start with....the first BGM uploading will be from the movie NAAYAGAN.
I might not be prolific in the uploads as I might need to do a lot of noise removal since the songs are mostly going to be in 75s, 80s period.
