BOYS RELEASED!

I have been informed that the Boys Album has been released in Malasia and in India. If anyone was fortunate enough to listen to the songs, please share your thaughts with the rest of us.

Also, please let us know which countries have released the album so far.

Last but not least, if anybody has mp3s of the boys album, please post it on the net and share it with the rest of us.

  "after few listing u will like it.."
  That holds for most songs man. Try it on some other songs and see how they sound after a few listenings. For example, this is the reason for the multiple renditions of a single song in SAR movies, since he uses the principle of repetition to make a simple song sound melodious!

  i have to disagree with u..there are many reasons why u should listen to rahman's songs twice or thrice..
  1.there are many things in a ARR song which one might miss...it might have got drowned in the tune or music which u might notice in the second or third hearing..not in the case of SAR music...u dont find anything intricate..simple repetition as u had put it..
  
  2.if u listen to his songs with "I dont like ARR" attitude in the beginning ,obviously u wont like it...to those people, i would say it is better if they would listen to it twice or thrice..hopefully they would notice the intricacies and appreciate...
  3.at least on a personal level,i can tell u that in the case of many songs,however many times ,i might have heard it,i would not like it.I am sure,everybody would have experienced that..
  I found tat some guys compared HJ with ARR...that is pathetic... just listen to HJ and u can see that there is the ARR influence through out the song..what is new in HJ songs?Agreed..they are melodious ,catchy,...but i dont think there is anything new in HJ songs...it is the same tried and tested ARR tactics...

  There is no such thing like "I don't like ARR" stuff. I am not denying he has talent. But from the past two three years, after Taal, he has lost touch in orchestrization completely. He does not use strings as much as he should, he is good at it. Listen to july madham from pudhiya mugam,
  pakkathe.. from gentleman, urvasi..from kadhalan (second interlude) , konjam nila.. from thiruda thiruda. or even good classicals like narumugaye.., en veetu thottathil, you can see his talent (but you can see that all these songs belong to his glory period). But where can we find such things in his music nowadays and you have to admit that his tunes are really mediocre, exception being one or two songs from lagaan.
  I don't know if you can understand what my stand is on ARR, but believe me I like good music irrespective of who scores. Boys is a shankar album and I have high expectations like gentlman or kadhalan. Let's see what happens.
  BTW I like HJ and am HCIRF.
