Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy can be brought to TFM

Remember the Music Director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music directors of Kamal Hassan's Alavandhaan. They seem to be missing in the Tamil scene for the last 2 years and they are doing really good in the Hindi field. They have given solid musical hits in Hindi such as; Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahtha Hai. I think they can be brought to the Tamil films again. I feel they are definitely better than Deva and a few others. I think they are the best as far as Hindi Film Music goes after A R Rahman.

I would like healthy comments who listen to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and have a fair knowledge of Hindi Film Industry.

  See the post from Nansense above who had earlier commented badly about Kumar Sanu has now said "Faizan: let bygones be bygones". It is so nice ofhim/her. So let us close the Sanu topic and PLEASE be open to try him in future.

  i hope u spotted the pattern, if u haven't still, i will point it out to you....then u can go to any forum on the web, and u will recognise this pattern every time, every where.
  
  sanu da's fans, hailing from USA, UK, fiji, Pakistan.....all over the world, have one thing in common. they don't insult other singers.
  
  its like the non-violence movement, we get clobbered from all sides...but we dont attack .last night as i slept, the rude comments made by many of the members on this forum regarding sanu da were ringing in my ears.
  
  we do give our opinions (if i think spb has a south indian accent, or SEL make more melodious and hummable music tha ARR, its my OPINION)the whole purpose of a forum like this is expression of opinion.
  
  but we dont call other singers names.
  
  as a community, we sanu fans are 'romantics', we love sanu da because he has the most emotional /sentimental voice ever. can anyone ever sing 'tumhein apna banane ki kasasm khayi hai' like sanu da has?NO NEVER
  
  being a 'romantic' also makes us inherently very sensitive and benign.
  
  so that is the pattern dear ehsaan, u will note that sanu fans are very well behaved and cultured, while the others are rude , abnoxious and at times sick.
  
  i know u agree..... if anyone calls me(or the great kumar sanu) a name in return of what i am saying right now, well u will just prove my point
  
  dear ehsaan, by request is for you to make more songs for the 'romantics', the 'sentimental' people out there...those people who are deeply in love with someone....not only for those who have a 'night out at the disco' lifestyle.

  It is definitely recognized that SEL trio has done only one film in tamil. But if an established music director is interested in reaching out his fans through this sane forum in just one thread, I think admin (bb) can take an exception. After all, there are hundreds of threads doing good discussion on tamil songs and scores of others which are inane. Hence, IMHO, any good musical output from SEL will be a welcome addition to the database of this forum.

  Somu when Shankar sings a song it is a decision taken by us and the film director and the lyricist. Shankar had originally sung the title of Kal Ho Na Ho it was all 3 of us ( including Shankar ) who thought that Sonu's voice will be best suited for the song. When we compose Shankar gets a song to sing only if it is necessary.
  I agree that this Kumar Sanu topic should be closed I guess all his fans feel very much for him and why not.I would rahter not listen to people saying that this singer copies that singer , I dont think anyone can sound like another singer .

  I don't understand, what is so special with Kumar Sanu anyway?. Any other present singer could sing his songs and do much better than him.
  Did he sing any difficult songs so far?. Apart from the being Kishore Kumar clone, what is his speciality?. I think, singers like KK, Udit Narayan( only in Hindi), Sankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Abajeet are much better singers than Kumar Sanu.
  If was pure luck that, in early 90's he got those oppurtunities to sing most of the songs.
  Comparing SPB's hindi songs with Sanu is like comparing Lata's Tamil songs with S.P.Sailaja( for an example) and declare S.P.Sailaja is a better singer than Lata.
  I am really glad that first A.R.Rahman and now SEL are trying to stay away from Kumar Sanu and still produce hit songs. for the last few years, for very good reason, he is no more the first choice singer.
  
  On the side note, at present it is amazing to see so many good new voices popping up in Tamil film Music every day, where in hindi film music, there are not many fresh singers coming up.

  Dear Ehsaan, Just a point about the Kumar Sanu topic. See, use or not use him is your personal choice and we can understand it. But just know one thing that Kumar Sanu is a Great Singer. No doubts about that. His romantic and sad songs are just the best. No other singer of today's era can match the quality, the punch of his voice. He is a living legend. We just love him. No matter what some think because of his nasal touch, he will always be in our hearts. Long Live KS ! If you can use him and get the best out of him, it can be great. It is all we wanted from you. It is also like a challenge for you. You havent used him. So why not now ? And come with a bang too ! Since you said you like challenges and you r a creative MD, well just try with KS. Who knows, this combination can be great too. Finally, please everybody here finish this topic about KS as we his fans can't listen any bad things about him. Thanks

  Just a final reply to Mr. Hype (@ 199.67.140.80).
  He was asking what so special about KS. Have this :
  1) 5 consecutive Filmfare Awards (Record)
  2) 28 songs recorded in a single day (Record)
  3) Sung Super hit songs for every superstar
  4) Started in 80s and still going strong.....
  
  And many more. He reigns in millions, billion's hearts.

  5 consecutive filmfare awards - Just lucky. Nothing special. No other alternative voices around that time. Do you know how many awards he has won since then?.
  
  28 songs recorded in a single day - it is not an official record. Go to RMIM archives( rec.music.indian.misc). It is already discussed to death there.
  
  In mid to late 80's leading voices were Shabbir Kumar, Mohd Aziz and Amit kumar. There were very popular too around that time. Kumar sanu was popular from early 90's to Mid 90's. He is not anymore. At present, Aamir prefers Udit and Sharukh prefers both Udit and Abjheet. Other new heros prefer Sonu and others. Kumar sanu is no more the preferred voice of any actor or any Music directors.

  Why are you trying to get SEL to work with KS??? Guys, i don't believe this. KS is a legend, this has been proved time and time again. SEL aren't even that great. It sounds like a desperate plea from KS fans if u ask me. KS has worked with every MD uder the sun, i think u are degrading Sanuji if u are requestionf for him to work with SEL. He is above them! I dont care what u SEL fans will say since i couldnt care less, I'm just requesting my fellow KS fans to stop this plea barganing and take heart in the knowledge that KS is a world record holder, can SEL say that??
  Mr Hype, if u think winning 5 CONSECUTIVE fimfare awards is LUCK, I suggest u come out of that dream world u live in u call 'reality' and appreciate the talent, no-one wins 5 CONSECUTIVE awards just because of luck, u really r simplifying things a bit too much! And he has won several awards since then including the RD Burman award and Mohd Rafi memorial award, the reason he didnt win anymore film fare awards is because he stopped accepting them. I request for all KS fans to not post here anymore, u r just giving this website more hits than it needed and have given them something to talk about. WE DONT NEED SEL!!!

  Kumar Sanu after 1994 decided not to accept FilmFare award. So new singers are getting the chance. In the same token Lata is also not getting any FIlmFare award for the last
  three dacades. That is becuase she refused to accept award.
  
  In 1990-94 Kumar Sanu did win filmfare awards for variety of songs from variety of music directors Anu Malik,NadeemShravan,RD Burman. He just cannot
  be only lucky.
  
  Limca books of records has Kumar Sanu name in print. Do not deny the record.
  
  Why you are brining this topic when Eshaan said it is closed? I just mentioned the above points as you are ignorant about music . I will come back if I see any OTHER singer is also humiliated here.

  Please think before posting. RD burman award goes to new comers. How sanu could win it after 5 consecutive awards is beyond me?.
  Who said filmfare awards are the only way to measure greatness?. Do you know how many times, RDB, Roshan and others have won that award?. Nadeem shravan has won it more than R.D.Burman, so are you going to say that NS are better than RDB. Do you know, when he stopped accepting the award?. After the 6 th year, when Udit was preferred ahead of him and it pizzed him off.
  
  If you take a look at 90-95 period, Naddem Shravan were the dominatant music directors, and their preferred choice of singer was Kumar Sanu.
  We all know, What happened to him after that. There are good songs in that period, I am not disputing that. But any other singer could have done a decent job at those songs, just like what Kumar Sanu did.
