  I believe it at last!
  
  Saw a huge banner near Meenambakkam Airport which sed "Shankar-in Anniyan". The poster had Vikram alone with some paint on his face. Too bad I din have time to notice the MusicDirector :-(. Going by the news here, it is HarrisJeyaraj perhaps.

  First look: Shankar’s `Anniyan`
  He who comes from hell is not afraid of hot ashes!
  This is the tagline of Shankar’s Anniyan starring Vikram (in three roles?). The pooja of the film will be held today at AVM studio at 9 am. The invitation is innovative with different get-ups of Vikram looking menacing. The story is by Sujatha. Manikandan is the cinematographer while Sabu Cyril is the art director. Raju Sundaram is the choreographer and Peter Hien is the stunt master. Sada is Vikram's heroine, but her photo is missing in the invitation. The cast also has Kalabhavan Mani, Nedumudi Venu and Cochin Haneefa (all Malayalees). Harris Jayaraj tunes the lyrics by Vairamuthu. Shankar-Vikram-Sada team up for Anniyan
  
  
  After Boys, Shankar is coming out with yet another bilingual film, Anniyan, with Vikram and Sada in the lead. The film which is to be launched on March 4th in Chennai has Vikram donning a triple role. Harris Jayaraj scores the music. Peter Hayens is the stunt master. Oscar Films produces Anniyan.

  `Anniyan` launched in style!
  
  The launch of Shankar’s Anniyan was held today between 9.15 and 9.30 am. All the bigwigs of the industry attended the function at AVM studio in Chennai.
  
  Vikram dressed in all black hugged Shankar after the pooja and said: "Anniyan will be one of the most important films in my career as I always dreamed to work with Shankar who is one of the finest directors."
  
  Both Shankar and Vikram refused to talk anything about the film. Vairamuthu, who is trying to stage a comeback after he fell out with A.R.Rahman, said: "There are five songs in the film and all of them are fantastic. Harris Jayaraj is going to go places after Anniyan music is released."
  
  The heroine Sada was missing, as she was busy shooting for a Telugu film in Pollachi.
  
  The final word from Shankar: “I intend to finish the film in six months and probably release the film for Diwali."
  
  However the absence of other stars in the industry at the function was noticed.

  Kamal Haasan would have been a better choise.

  “It might happen” said some. “It might not happen” said others about the Shankar- Vikram collaboration. But, it is happening. Finally, the film ‘Anniyan’ has been launched. Vikram is the busiest hero in Tamil cinema now and Shankar is a big director. Oscar Ravichandran was planning to bring them together in his next film, ‘Anniyan’. Meanwhile, rumors began that Vikram was not happy with Shankar’s stories and had suggested plenty of changes.   The beginning of ‘Anniyan’

  For the first time, Vikram and Shankar are getting together in a dream project, titled ‘Anniyan’. There are thousands of versions circulating about the origins of the film’s story. But, here is the truth.
  
  Though Shankar is a reputed director, he is in a situation right now in which he has to prove himself. In these circumstances, he has got together with Vikram for ‘Anniyan’. Vikram too is under pressure to maintain his success streak. So, after many discussions and debates, the film ‘Anniyan’ began.
  
  
  
  Vikram plays dual role in thid film for the first time in his career. Some believe that one role is that of an Iyer man and the other happens to be that of a man widely believed to be dead. Others say that the film is an inspiration from the Bollywood hit ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. The second Vikram is an alien from the outer space.
  You can rest assured of one thing- Vikram and Shankar would only come up with a good entertainer. Shankar isn’t using anyone from his former unit. He is recruiting everybody again.

  Director Shanker and hero Vikram team up for the first time in 'Anniyan', produced by V Ravichandran of Oscar Films.
  
  It's also the first time Vikram and Sadha are coming together. Again, it's the first time that Vikram is doing a dual role. In the first-time list there is also the new combination of Shanker and music director Harris Jairaj.
  
  From his very first film, 'Gentleman', to his latest, 'Boys', Shanker has had A R Rehman composing music for him. Now he has replaced his favourite music composer with the happening Harris Jairaj. The lyrics would be penned by Vairamuthu.
  
  Some of the technical credits include people who have been associated with the earlier films of the director. Like Sabu Cyril who designs the sets, V T Vijayan who edits the film, Sujatha who pens the dialogue, Raju Sundaram who choreographs the dances and Peter Hien who arranges the stunts. Wielding the camera is V Manikandan.
  
  The film, which was launched at AVM Studio, had big-wigs of the industry attending it. And outnumbering them were the fans of Vikram. They crowded around the actor, leaving little space for anyone to go anywhere near him.
  
  The publicity blurb for the film says: 'He who comes from Hell is not afraid of Hot Ashes'. Promsises to be exciting fare!
