  Recently I had the chance of listening to an old song `Kalaiezhil Veesuthe' by AMR and PS from the movie `Sabash Ramu'. The MD is one T.M.Ebrahim.
  The tune was a carbon copy of `Aahaya Veethiyil' (Gantasala & PS) from `Manjal Mahimai'.
  Could someone verify whether the tune was lifted by TME from Venu or vice versa.
  BTW I have sent the song to `Collection of Rare Goldies' page, hoping it would be posted.

  a.a: I thought Manjal Mahimai was a earlier Savithri/ANR release by Master Venu. Sabash Ramu came at the end of 50's. Master Venu did a few movies in Telugu as well where he used PS often. In Tamil he did a handful of movies, may be 3-4, I guess. It could be that the tune was lifted from MV.

  Unfortunately I do not have `Thunbam Nergayil', a classic song by MSR. In case you get it, please share it with me. I do have `Akkam pakkam' from the same movie, thanks to my friend Kathiresan from Singapore.
  During my recent trip back home, I was able to get some oldies. Among them `Nanda gopalanodu' (MLV-Vazhkai) which I guess you had been looking for and `Siripputhan varuhuthayya'(SG-Ponvayal), which is Mr. Nagarajan's request dated Sept.24/01. I will send them to `Rare golden oldies' page soon.
  I also found in my collections `Mannava Vaa' (PS-Adutha Veetu Penn), which someone was looking for long time ago.
  BTW, the song `Kalaiezhil Veesuthe' is up in the golden oldies page.

  Dear Mr.Nagarajan,
  I am sorry, I do not have any TMS song lists. The only list I could prepare is from the songs I have, which won't make even 20% of his total. Besides, I cannot exactly tell from my list whether they are pre 60s or post 60s except for some songs. If you start a thread and invite readers to contribute infos to your list people like Manisegaran and Vicky may be able to help.
