Yes Karthik, you are indeed right! I totally agree that this was probably available as a rights-free sample, hence used! It's just that one has to keep drumming the idea of re-using samples and loops to ppl, that I have given up trying to explain this fact! ;)

Guys (Dinesh & An)
Take a break ! This forum is totally meant for something different..try to respect the audience as well. lets continue discussing the main forum, which used to be more interesting.
If you still want to discuss only the BD, lets rather discuss if there are any copied songs in it ;-)

hey stupid paran, im not telling arr sucks ok. im only teling his recent albums sucks. and bombay dreams music album is not successful in europe and usa as u and die hard arr fans claims. he cannot become successful in english songs. and no whites are going to bcome arr fans like u. die hard arr fans are keep on saying only arr is good and others sucks.. go to other threads and read u stupid paran. we all noe u r a die hard arr fan.

I think from my above post, there is proof that I am not a die hard ARR Fan! Read it Dinesh - you seems to have a problem understanding what is written!
Also, I don't work for RUG or Andrew, to give you exact sales figures of albums. But if ARR can be worth 2 Million, he must have made enough from it!
HOLLYWOOD is spelt like that, not "holiwood"!
RAJESH - I am back to the thread, did you not see my post!

Dinesh - get some help in reading English:
"the first south Asian among the top 500 Earners"
That's all the Top 500, not just Asians!
Also, where did U C me putting down other MD's?
Rajesh - I think you are referring to this thread, as opposed to the forum itself! ;)
Did you think there were copied songs in BD? Please list, as I can't find anything apart from some 'inspirations', which normally stem from another song of the same Raga (Scale)!

Speaking of copies, I think one of the most disappointing one was Vidhyasagar's "copy & paste" of FUEGO by the girl group BOND! He used the 'slice' in the beginning of 'Enna Seyya' and during 'Buck Buck' from Parthiban Kanavu! IMo, it was not even necessary, as the melodies of the songs were very nice!

hello i din tell u r a die had arr fan. i only told paran is a die hard arr. hello if u write like uni assignments no one can read comprehend. make it short. i din ask howmuch arr earned ok! ill make that clear. i only ask u to give figures (if u can) to proove arr english albums success(if it is). as i told u and to die hard arr fans no whites going become arr fans. and he cannot become successful in hollywood (pls check the spelling).

I shall Repeat - BD is CURRENTLY the TOP MUSICAL ALBUM sold @ Amazon - now I don't think it's all the Asians in the world who buy there!

My advice, always substanciate your claims! "Ippo kadhaigal mookuku keela varadhu"..... At least "Naan Thamil endru Namburelaa?"
PS: How many White musicians do you know? How many White ppl do you know who are not ARR fans? I know lots who are and also Black ppl who are and also Chinese ppl who are! And these people range from Indian to totally Non Indian and Musical to totally non-Musical!
So, R U 'fake' Dinesh or not?

An,
I dont find anything wrong in what dinesh is asking. Show him the figures of sales like in UK top 10. If its there, I will be happy. Dont give amazon links, which is not really sorted based on sales.

kum:
Then how does Amazon classify a top album, if not by sales?
Also, this album came out last year, so finding charts on it is very difficult. I doubt that any of us will be able to.
Lets face it, you people will never accept that even to be listed in Amazon is a great feat, let alon be listed as Number1!
An - this is a useless battle. Best give it up!
It is certainly an un-reasonable request.
However, on Amazon, it

Guys, while humming the song 'Keladi en radhaye' from 'Gopura vasalile', had a feel that it follows the pattern of 'Yaaradi nee mohini' to some extent in pallavi. am sure it's not a copy, maybe coincidental. what you experts feel ?
btw, if this is not the appropriate thread for this question, please bear with me..mainly to Dinesh & An ;-) (vidratha illai poliruku !)

"Considering that Bombay Dreams composer AR Rahmen is one of such a phenomenon in India, it is odd that much of this music comes across as cheap imitation."

My gosh!! This is how westerners feel abt ARR music? BD has exposed that. And that too from a westerner. Well so much for die hard ARR fans trying to convince themselves(forget abt convincing others!) how good BD is.
