Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::
Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.
Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.
In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.
Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.
For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

Very strange!
Why are ppl only talking abt hypothetical stuffs? Why are they shunning away the negative things? Are there only hypocrites here? What about this link?

It says 'Rehman himself was shocked when only 60 thousand cassettes were made. The audio rights were very expensive. So, he doubts if these 60,000 cassettes would atleast be sold.'

hey MR.PUZZLED go and check in the markets how much other MD's cassetes get released ...u'll be more puzzled .... and DHANA... Black or white is a Pop song and GIRLFRIEND is a fusion of pop and Metal... so it can never be compared.....

Here u'll find most of the losers posting abt ARR in an IR thread. These orgical few have vanished or may be are still hanging in newtfmpage 'silently' and secretly and cowardly reading all the posts. As soon as ARR vanished, they vanished too. The even once created some special thread or webpage of ARR's 10year anniversary but that too has gone into phantom zone just like them and their fav MD. I have a feeling u'll be one of them in time to come too because there is just nothing to talk abt the limited impactless music of ARR. U just won't have anything to talk after some time(unlike IR thread which have so many intelligent and intellectual exchanges going on there forever).
So pls don't go around being a fool that u r. Wake up or at least read all the old responses in so many threads!

Rehman back with BOYS
A.R.Rehman has done it again. After row of musical duds in Tamil of late, he
has proved his mettle again with the film BOYS. This Shanker directed film’s
music was released last week and is already topping the chartbusters. BOYS has
mind boggling music with right beat and youthful tunes.
The very first song “Girl friend..” sung by Karthik will surely become the rage
among college going youth. The number has melodious feel yet is very trendy and
modern. And the other song which will definitely become the top song on
chartbusters is “Maro..Maro..break the rules..”.
The song, sung by Karthik, Kunal and Anupama, is about the youth who want to
rebel against the society and lead life without any rules. The song has been
picturised very well too. 500 dancers were participated in this song.
Pop singer Adnanan Sami debuts in the film. His song with Sadhana Sargam is
highly melodious. A must buy album. It will definitely mark the second coming
of A.R.Rehman.

BOYS is another failure from ARR. It defintely sounds like it. I heard some songs in Sun TV. "Oru panna sothukku oru soru patham" - going by this proverb, I conclude this is another hyped album which is going to be a utter flop
