  Kum Laden, maybe my memory fails me. I dont remember seeing u in any of the threads sounding so hyped up for the release of KM or PP or TLOBS. Why so much eagerness for Baba then (presuming tat ur statement tat u hate RK is true)? Jus find it interesting tat ur more eager than alot of RK+ARR fans like myself, IK, CP, raja etc.

  I actually started visiting this forum way after the release of KM. I like ARR not because he is talented but coz he is a hardworker. I dont think RK has either talent or hardworking ability. I dunno why i should respect him like you guys do. But i dont mean to insult you guys' opinions.I know everyone have differnt perspectives.

  hi guys,
  the tracks go like this
  side a
  theme is a nice one sung by srinivas. then dipu dipu is superb sung
  by shankar mahadevan. amazing lyrics are in dipu dipu with a "nalla
  seithi" with baba cinema cinema the highlight of the song. the baba
  kichukichu is not that great but ok. it involves bhradwaj and s.p.b
  according to cover. but a ladies voice also comes.
  
  on the next side(b)
  maya maya is also a melodius one with karthik's voice standing out.
  and sujatha also sings in this song. next is a superb song by
  jayachandran and is very catchy called rajayame. this song has a
  message to all his fans. the next and last song called sakthi kodu
  is a song for all of us to rise against the evil. that is the best
  song which according me was best along with dipu dipu. but overall
  rahamn had done a god job.
  
  i've not seen any other review message as yet. i hope this is
  helpful. i bought the original tape from

  Just heard the songs..My first review..Will listen a few more times before I pass a complete comment on it. The songs seem very non-Rajiniyish. They are not bad..but I personally miss the tablas and the beats of Raja/Deva scores fo Rajini in the past. Its more a Rahman score than a Rajini movie score.
  The Rajyama song is like Vidukadhaya in Muthu..dull song with good lyrics.. The standout for me in first hear is Sakthi Kodu..has a good tone..and beat..and nice lyrics. Good song.
  The Baba title song and Baba Kichukichu songs are too techno for a Rajini movie.The Maya song is a nice duet.Decent..more like Nagumo in Arunachalam. Wont be appreciated by masses..and yeah..the title song is a disappointment for a Rajini fan !!!
  In short..the wait is over..but maybe it was too hyped up..and Rahman definitely cud have spent a little more time on the score..It does fall pretty short of my expectations.

  thanks viruz for the songs... BTW when is ur songs i.e, kadhal virus getting released??? :-) ... listened a little bit to the songs... pretty much the same feeling I get on any ARR album.. I guess it should be like another padayappa or Muthu... need to listen to atleast 10 times before actually reviewing it.......

  babaX.ram, where x=1..N
  found N to be 8
  thats 2 more songs than listed in the song list..
  i am curious what they are

  ARR is not even upto his own standard of Padaiyappa. Chuthi Chuthi vandeega is much more melodious and impressive. Well I was disappointed overall for such a mediocre score from the Best MD Award winner of India. Except hey Baba Baba song. It is only good lyrics but not good music. Rajini could have realised that is why I think he pulled in Vaali at the last moment. I would say Rajini is mass media genius to identify this problem. Please do not take it as ARR bashing. But, I did not want Thalaivar movie to have such worst effort spent on Music. May be Deva or IR could have done better job.

  Guys don't be in haste to judge ,give it some more time. If you read the old reviews of Padyappa songs,folks here said the same things about the song now its reversed so hold on to your guns.
  Anyway I will buy the tape and then i will write my full review after thorough listening.
  But the one think that I found is that the voices are kind of weak. NO,I am not going to say this person voice is weak or that,but some how they lack 'Bhavam' or 'feeling'. Now this is my individual opinion thats all.
  And was surprised to hear Jeyan Chettan struggling with his voice :(
