YSR'S NEW PROJECT'S...

well i heard that his next flim would be with vijay n priyankachoupra staring in it
and the cd's will be out in july
and another one with prabhudeva staring in it n this will out in june i guess...
well more to come from him n i hope that he make's it big....

  i like the "THOTTU THOTTU" song very much upon first hearing..... has good pronouncing by Harish...... "manasu rendum" (aiooooo SM, pls vittudungaaa sir) and "nenjodu" are other good number's that will catch u.....

  The songs "Nenjodu" with Sujatha and Unnikrishnan has shades and some resemblence to the chorus from a song by The Corrs, I think the songs is "Runaway"

  After listening to "Kadhal Kondein" a couple of times,these are my comments.This is actually not a review but just a comment.
  
  Devathai --> Liked it the first time itself.
  
  Manasu Rendum --> SM voice appears to drive me crazy and YSR also seems to give him the same type of songs except in MP where he gave SM "Anbe Anbe".
  
  Nenjodu --> Sujatha's voice was good and the song was real good.And Unni,shld I tell that it was good?????.
  
  Kathal Mattum --> Vijay Yesudas's voice felt okie to me and not real great but the song was good and so did like it.(Actually,this song appears to have a tune like the "Thallatu" padal "Kakka Mukkulla Vadai Irrukka.....")
  
  (And both the songs above appears to have some music that appears to be re-used from YSR's not so popular "Blast" album)
  
  Thottu Thottu --> Okie sort of song.Did not catch my attention till now.(Starting piece is similar to "Kayenthiye Naan Ketpathu" from Kannethire Thondrinal.)
  
  18 Vayathil --> Typical YSR song and the beats r real good(Though it appears to me that the beginning is like "Baila More" of ARR)
  
  
  Theme --> Nothing much to talk abt on this small piece.
  
  And with all these comments,did I like the album???.Of course YES.But as someone posted here,it is high time YSR started producing Quality albums with no Okie Sort of songs.
  
  And the other thing he shld be thinking abt is associating himself with ppl like Kamal and Manirathnam.I wish that the news(Or is it rumour???) that he is the MD for Kamal's home production is true.

  Well guys, here's my view of Kaadhal Kondaen. I was actually blown away by this album. I loved each and every song on this album. Somebody mentioned that YSR has not produces a single great album. I beg to differ, what about Poovellam Kettupar, Nandha, Dheena, Thu;lluvadho Ilamai? These were all great albums with all great songs. I feel it is sad for people to try and downgrade YSR when he is so obviously doing a great job. YSR is becoming increasingly popular as time goes on and there is no doubt that he will overtake both ARR and IR in time. He has the talent and he has the skill to be an even greater MD.

  YSR can produce good songs. Most tamil music fans do not doubt that. The question is, how many of the songs / albums he releases can be classified as good?
  
  As Tavindran said, Poovellam, Nandha, Thulluvatho are good. But what about April Mathathil and Bala? They were just average.
  
  YSR is good, but not consistent. This is the difference between him and someone like ARR.

  Devan, let me tell u this. ARR has not produced consistent great albums. He too has produced albums on which only a couple of songs have been great. Same with YSR. Show me the consistency in ARR before you try to downgrade YSR.

  For that reason of inconsistancy, we can't blame on YSR alone. He should work with good films / director / producer. See eventhough VS is good in composoing, he needs a film like Run and Anbe Sivam, Dhool.etc
  
  In that sense, IR and ARR are lucky to work with talented directors / talented new comers.
  
  This makes the difference. I think time will come for him to work with good director

  This week's Kumudam has an info about a new madhavan movie produced by kamal and directed by Mauli ... even that doesn't mention who is its MD ...

  Although ARR has produced albums in which only a couple of songs are great, the rest are still good. From Roja to Kathl Virus, there has not been one dull / lifeless song. However, the same cannot be said about YSR. For example, Mounam Pesiyathae had some great numbers, but the rest of the songs were nothing special.
  
  Choochan, good directors (films-producers) are needed only to get the initial recognition for the MD. For VS, it was Run that did it for him. Films that followed, like Pallavan, sold on the MD's (ie VS's) merit. Good MDs do not need bigshot films to produce good music.
  
  YSR's inconsistency has nothing to do with the directors or the films. Even IR and ARR worked with not so great directors and movies and still produced good songs.

  Devan, it is all your opinion. I believe that YSR has not produced a single album in which he has had song that are not that special. I feel that ARR has let me down in his songs, but YSR never fails to stun me with his tremendous songs. I think we will have to agree to disagree here my friend.

  well,after a very long time, a wonderful album has come out.it is so much of an effort so that you could just wonder how hard could people work to make an album a hit..
  i just bought it with out expecting anything..i heard once and some thing touched me inside..i heard it again and some thing was moving inside..i heard it again and god it is so nice i just want to hear it for the times to come..
  
  song 1: devathai kandaen: it is a simple ballad..very good lyrics..noboy can imagine that sad song could be like this..harish is simply wonderful..10/10
  
  2: manasu rendum: again classical example of yuvans capablity to mix western and classical..where the vocals are classical the back ground music is western..great song..particularly the second bgm is outstanding..some arabian touch ..violins,drums everything mixing to give us a great feel..sankar mahadeven is like god..when he sings we melt..a real world class song 10/10
  
  3: nenjodu: unnikrishnan and sujatha creat magic..bagpiper is wonderful..particularly when sujatha finishes her portion and unni starts you can feel the tears inside your eyes..sujatha could have sung better.. but the orchestra is superb 9/10
  
  4: theme is very short to comment on
  
  5: kaadhal: i tell you..vijay yesudas is going to make waves..this song has its own class..when you listen to it in the evening you will fall in love..great song 10/10
  
  6:thottu: wow...lyrics are just wonderful...listening to all these stupid film songs this comes really as a treat..muthukumar did an amazing job..his comman of language is wojnderful..chart topper 10/10
  
  7: 18 vayathil: i object to some of the lyrics..but the music is nice..this will be played in clubs in discos..nice try in trance..first time..9/10
