  This is the greatest joke of all times, truly. SPBs Hindi songs are from the 80s and 90s when HFM has been at its nadit. How can u compare these songs to rafis songs from 50s to 70s when HFM was in its golden era??

  Also Raghu212 - stop judging rafi by his alck of carnatic skills. he never learnt carnatic, he was trained in Hindustani. U cannot say "Oh MS Subbalaxmi is not that great - can she sing Hindustani". Thats the kinda argument u are making here.
  
  Carnatic music has never been used in HFM, though Hindustani has been used in TFM,KFM etc.

  I said they prefer SPB voice over Rafi, NOT SPB's SINGING SKILSS OVER RAFI,okaya.
  
  U r right in saying that Rafi never learnt Carnatic, but he learnt Hindustani, but do u know that SPB is not trained in either of them?

  pay particular attention when u learn about "arrays", "pointers", "stacks","queues", ..etc. these are the difficult topic, in C++, there is a book called "Learn c++ in 21 days", it is very good, but I do not know if the book is available in India, any way good luck.

  I have also listen 2 that song, the song is nothing special, as the MD being Deva, but SPB brings out the life into the song, he streches his vocal chords beyond human throat limitations, great stuff, he has proven once again that he is the DON in Playback singing, even lata has once said that after Rafi only SPB is the next singer who can do justice @ higher pitches.

  The entire song is between keys 30-35? Did you go to the Raghuvaran school of music? And could you please provide a translation of keys 30-35, in simple layman's terms i.e. how is it represented in the muthalang kattai and ettan kattai terminolgy, in the A B C D E F G H I J K .....terminology, in the Do Re Mi Faa So laa Ti terminology, and in the Sa Re Ga Ma... terminolgy?
  
  BTW, I am not planning on listening to the songs of Red in the near future since you wanted us to listen to these songs @ the age of 55+. OK yaa?

  hello surfers, i would give details of spb songs since his early days. the songs i mention will be of 6 in nos every day. compare those with present day singers (all neglected in their own states) see the versatility of the living genius.

  Yeah, I have been listening to SPB ever since 1969-2002, all his songs are simply great, I prefer his Hindi songs, although I do not understand Hindi much, I just love Maine Pyer Kiya, Ek Duche Keliye, Hum AApke khon ,Saajan, Saagar, 100 days, Roja, Hindustani, ..etc.
  
  
  I know that Rafi never sang in Tamil, but I have heard his telugu songs, they are really nice, although his Telugu pronounciation is not good, then again SPB's Hindi pronounciation is not better.

  SPB was awarded the prestigious Swaralaya-Kairali-Yesudas award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the world of film music.   I have only mentioned this kattai business once, but u ***hole make a big deal about it, please consult a carnatic music teacher, who will explain u what a kattai is, like I said, I do not know how u ( Indian Tamils) call kattai, OK.
  
  just tell me how many times I have mentioned about kattais, do u personally have a problem with me, if so by all means let me know, as I will be coming 2 India in December, we will come 2 some sort of compromise, OKya.

  i must say i am quite tired of people everyday saying "ok spb is the greatest no matter what". SPb is/was a genius, but saying the same thing 200 times over, and copying & pasting the same thing onto to so many threads, is making this discussion boring.
  
  so answer - nobody has a problem with SPB being the great or the greatest or whatever, but we have a problem with this thing being discussed ad nauseum.
