Vaanavil Talent Quest 2003

Vaanavil Talent Quest is a prestigious talent quest for amateur singers, with the top prize being a Kia make car. VTQ No. 1’s winner was Sheila Raman who got to sing a song under Bharadwaj in the movie Engey Enathu Kavithai. Bharadwaj was one of the judges of the finals.

Last year’s winner was Alinda Alphonse and she is expected to sing under Harris Jeyraj’s music, who was one the judges of the finals. She sang Rukku rukku rukku splendidly and was a good comedienne too.

Who will be the winner of VTQ 2003 and who will be the MD for the finals?
As usual we will have to wait for Tamil new year to know the results. In the meantime, share your thoughts here.

  After reading some of the comments it has prompted me to drop a few words.I hope you guys would accept me.Talking about the VTQ it looks like the ERA of "PENGGAL" will come to an end,
  which I like so but (M.M.)might be the one to watch out for.She looks very compose and cool in her moves and songs.Her plus point is that she selects songs in which she prevails well.

  Im just so so speechless thnking bout u guys here.....i think u all shud just keep u people's problem 2 ur self...and get back 2 work...astro is just trying their best to give out their best...and..everybody is not perfect!!!!...dunt keep judging or giving comments on the host,c0-host,singers or who so ever..!!!as i said again everybody is not perfect...at least be happy that they are conducting such shows..better then nothing rite???try to be supportive and give encouragement to these people not discourage them!Common guys!..we are not living in such big community like india..we are living in a small comunity of indians in malaysia..lets get together and prove something and support one another.We all should admire and be proud of them that they have the courage and talent to stand infront of the camera and perform..its not sth easy u see.If u guys want to give some comments or wat so ever to a particular one person..just go to www.myindiancafe.com, and u peopl can get all their email add's there and mail them personally and crap how much u want. Rather then critising them in the public.Well,life is a circle..wat goes around comes around!!And,personally i feel that the more a critisize and comments has been given about a person shows that,that guy or gal shud be some hot cake and u people are basically jealous about them!!!..eg;nakkeran,hanita,jaya and siva!(hot cakes)..if ever u guys happen to read this(i mean this whole page)..u people shud be proud and happy of urself that u guys are sumbody now and people around just cant take it..well,u knw indian mentallity...excuse and just ignore all those messages and comments frm those retard people.And, once again just want to congratulate all the singers and everybody that has taken part,tried and worked their heads out for us..keep up the good work...and we will be waiting for more fun and great entertainment in the future..!cheerss!!!

  I'm a M'sian and used to follow the previous VTQ and now I'm not staying in M'sia anymore. Is there any other way to get the show (maybe on vcd or dvd).
  I would really appreciate if anyone can brief what did happen in the recent VTQ 2004, and I would like to know what are the songs the contestant choose. Thank you.

  Very funny.. Thats the only words can describe about the VTQ2004. Yeahhhh whats else we can say about the funniest clowns that we have as a Host..especially Jeya... God will bless him with some sense of humors.. Anyway "ANYNOMOUS" FYI we are not coward as u think.. we aslo give all our advice and point out where is thier mistake to them directly. Dont try to compare us with lauzy Indians Indian.. because they lways fail to meet world standard... but its totally differents for us here .. Malaysia..where always talking about globlisation.. and we need to meet world standard...if it is a first time and first mistake then we can keep our mouth shut but is this first time Vanavil arranging such programme ? if we never tell them or pointing out their mistakes then how they going to improve their self?? Here we are to share our disatisfaction for the money that we pay to watch this channel. This is not Goverment channel which we have to watch all the craps that they showing us. If ASTRO so fair on everything means why only one man as a Newsreader and he also son of the Asst.Manager of Astro ?? Can you tell m e??? If Astro so fair means why they reqruite Jeya as a host because they knoe him very well - or well connected to the inside people ? Can you tell me ???? Anyway Jeysree congratulations to you...Its very fair you won the VTQ2004 not like lst year the person who should not entitle for the 1st price took the car back home.. Anyway most of the good singers this year select some songs which is not suitable to them and kill their chances to be a part of 3 finslists.. Sivablan... 2004 Bakat Radio 6 3rd price winner improved and got 2nd place.. Marry too finalist at BR6 again lost..anyway keep it up your good works..Ok....But overall the quality of the programme quite bad compare to previous years in terms of host and cohost (Shalini) juct dont show ur face anymore there its quite scarriying us...

  This year 2004, final result not really satisfied us. They don't have the "show talent" section, and then....overall the final 3 person should be mary, jayasree and sitharthen. I think mary did well, first songs its really suite her voice.. the song sung by minmini and the 3 songs also cool and same goes to sitharthen.. jayasree didn well but when she choose the 3 short songs, i guess her voice is not really suite or she sound sung the song in carnatic base. For me the first price should go to mary or sitharten.. But... this SA Raj, ...... I don't know how he compare. Most of my frens and family members choose for this person too.
  
  Nakiran, the handsom guy... all my cousin crazy about him.. he did well in the first and second but the final one... he look over cool and too cold. anyway see you next year..

  Nakiran, when hear his name. My heart throb. I'm really very very crazy bout him. He is so so gorgeous. I can't stop thinkin bout him. He is so cool and steady. Its a waste he did not finalist for the last 3 finalist. What a dissappointment.

  If someone really know how to sing in this competition .. that is Jeyasree...She did quite well compare to all the others. Sidhartan did very well on Semifinal but in final he totally out wrong choice of songs. Mary - average only. Narendran - not entitle for 3rd price at all. If they call Sithartan or Mary- then it will be quit perfect. But Jeysree did very well on the last two songs without music. Even Rajkumar him self find attracted to her....
