  Hey I'm a Keralite but big fan of Tamil Music, only because of ARR. There are only two ORIGINAL MUSIC directors for me and I would rate them as:
  1)ARR
  2)IR
  But you guys in Tamilnadu should realise that Tamil Music really became popular outside Tamilnadu only because of ARR.

  To find a place in TOP10 itself is an honor.
  And, without any doubt, IRR and ARR do find a place in the top 10, no matter who says it.
  Then why you guys or having this stupid fight.
  If an ARR fan puts ARR as the first, so also an IRR fan puts IIR in the first.
  That doesn't mean that ARR is first or IIR is the sevcond and vice versa.
  When you guys will learn and understand that these kinds of STUPID fights doesn't serve any purpose and both these two people have their own follwers and die-hard fans and they continue to make music and money thanks to these gullible people
  pozhaikkara vazhiyaip paarungappaa!
  These two will survive and will live long in TFM, just as MSV, GR, KVM, GKV still live!

  BTW, in my earlier long list, i inadvertantly left out SA Rajkumar!
  Yesterday i heard his music in Maanasthan.
  That one duet song they played; it was awesome!!

  dinesh, even these neutral ppl. fail to see the difference.....they think ARR fans also criticise IR but that's not the truth and it cant be as b4 ARR shot into scene we were all listening to IR only, how can we criticise that gr8 man.......but IR fans do fight with ARR fans cos they think ARR has taken their king's place.....so NEUTRAL PUBLIC SAVE UR ADVICE FOR IR FANS AND NOT FOR ARR FANS.......WE LOVE IR BUT THEY HATE ARR....SO U CAN SEE WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES.........

  If u all review most of the postings here:
  
  One good news in this ratings fight is great improvement in Rahman fans. Even though many of them stubbornly think ARR is no.1 IR has begun to feature in their lists if not at no.10, atleast at no.2 ;---) Great progress, fellas.
  
  Then there are some Rahman fans who has attained self realisation putting IR no.1, MSV also is featuring in no1 or 2, and Rahman is going down from 2 to 3 and so on.
  
  Exciting! This forum is doing wonders. Still, more exposure required.

  Best example is CMU himself. If you are an IR fan and put IR as no.1, then MSV, GR, KVM will follow. Rahman cannot be in the top 5. This is indication that CMU is a recent Bodhi, who used to be a HCARRF and decided to fair and honest. If I am wrong CMU or anyone else, let us talk about it ;---)

  gyan, we ARR fans love IR but not at the cost of our own god ARR......ARR scores over IR heavily in terms of his reach outside TN,sound quality in his songs,PR,HR and most importantly as an middle-class icon.....ARR is a Youth and middle-class icon......IR is nowhere near to him in this aspect........IR is just a musical gr8 but ARR is truly a gr8 man........

  However, once upon a time, Rahman fans just loathed IR and his fans as this forum is witness and also well documented fights here. now there is a vast improvement, is it because of this forum or because Rahman is not doiing that great, you are all discovering IR? i think that is a different topic ;---)

  i dont think Rahma fans ever loathed IR. I think it was IR fans who couldnt take ARRs greatness who enticed ARR fans.
