Here is what i found::
Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.
Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.
In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.
Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.
For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

yes let's see how long more these ppl who claim so much are going to listen to this album months(may be even weeks) after the film is released.
who cares if the movie is a hit. if it is then good for Shankar and the rest for commercial reasons. if it isn't then we can pity Shankar. i wanted to say "let's wait & see who listens to this album few months after this movie is released". but i know i don't need to coz i know its been proven time & again. no ill feelings to ARR and not due to him personally but because of the non-nenjil nirkkum raggangal songs that he churns out constantly. Of coz not forgetting all his super inspiration from the whole wide world.

Whatever , I heard Boys and Liked 3 songs. Ale Ale, Dating and Boom Boom sounded interesting. But have to mention that the finishing in all the songs doesnt have the Rahman stamp in it. It sounded distorted, not the free flowing rahman we have witnessed so far.
As also the Maro Maro song had some taints of "We will Rock You" song by Queen. What do u think guys?

The album begins with Ale Ale-Karthik and chitra sivaram it has a melodic feel to it n it's a punchy number 10/10
Boom boom -Adnan Sami,Sadhna Sargam is a good number n the vocals of adnan sami lift it a bit more.9/10
GirlFriend-Karthik,Timmy,Tippu is a fast number n is a rock kinda song, its a very good song n will definetly top the charts.10/10
Maaro Maaro-Karthik,anupama,Gunal,George-Its a slow number about how youth enjoy their teenage n this number takes time to get on you but if the picturisation is goin to be good this will fancy your imagination.7.5/10
Dating-Blazee,vasundra-Its a duet abt a guy expressing how good it is to date n then love a girl while the girl confronts by saying its better not to love, its a very good song n sure to top charts n gets on u with just the first ear.10/10
Sa ri ga MAe-well i've made no mistake typing the raga the song is such.Lucky ali stands out n no one other then hime wud have made this possible. It has the shades of kahin aag lage-taal in the end but definetly a very good song with which the movie wud end.10/10

I think rahman can concentrate on melodies as there is a lack for it nowadays. it can be a trend hereafter.tamil film music is too westernised nowadays.there are many to imitate rahman who's also successful.if rahman is not alert even now, then many newcomers would bag his place.RAHMAN, BE CAREFULL!!!

Sathyapriya, i think you are absolutely wrong. No MD can occupy ARR's place. MD's like VS, YSR, HJ, BW will come and go but ARR is a class act. The selection of Song / Tune is only as per the wish of Directors and ARR has to compose by what these guys say.

Ramki...
i think may be u r wrong...
it relies on MD as well..
if what u say true..then a director working with any MD..should be able to churn out good songs...but often..that is not the case...
for example..Vasanth....he tried Deva, ARR and few others.....but ARR's Rhythm came out the best out of it...

Paran ,
It took ARR 2 years ( though not exclusive) to complete the film and it was delayed due to ARR!!!But i agree that it was the best from ARR ( well ,how many will agree???) ..But directors do not have patience for it .It will suit directors who take a film a ayear like shankar ,Mani

Paran...
I have to disagree. Even though I consider Rhythm as an exceptionally good score, Vasanth managed to get the best out of Deva in Aasai and Nerukku Ner. Same with YSR, in Poovellaam Kettuppaar. The director almost always makes all the difference. But I personally feel that Ilayaraja is above such trivial things and produced great music regardless of the director. But the fact is that his music was even better when the Director has a clear vision and a good music sense.
Its probably because of the feeling that he's beyond any director that Raja lost out on relationships with directors with good music sense, like Maniratnam, KB etc. The Director is, at the end of the day, the captain of the ship that is movie, even if he's a newcomer. And a composer has to agree this fact to work under the Director.
And its precisely here that Raja scored over many of his peers, that he was able to help newcomers with limited musical-sense, with some great music. But again, he belongs to a different league altogether. Rahman managed the same too for some directors who were new...May Maadham, En Swaasa Kaatre, for instance had some really fantastic music - its besides the point that the films flopped. But both had relatively new directors with no proven track record of good music sense.

I think ARR is looking for only MONEY..
If you are ready to give more Money.. he will come to you and serve for you..
he wants everything in terms of $, that is the reason he went for Bombay Dreams.
this is true for all the MDs. not just for ARR alone. no one is looking for our comments. They wanted Money Money.. that all..
some MDs may do the work faithfully, some of them are theft, since they are incapable.
some MD may take less time to finish, some may
take long time, since they are not confidence on themselves.
Thats it...

Rajarajan it is correct. He is a money maker.
Because of Bonbay Dreams he delayed BOYS, KV, PARASURAM.
For baba rajini got the tune by telephone!!!.
Sankar managed BGM with praveen mani.
Now he is doing a chinese movie. Why not in tamil. It is great doing international projects. But he should be able to balance with TFM. If not my answer he is a money maker.

F**k u bitch xml, ARR is a true middle-class guy with values and down-to-earth person who composes music for international projects only on friendly pressures and he has rejected more Intrnl. projects than he has accepted it... xplain y he didn't leave TFM which doesent give 25% of wat he earns in Bollywood and Hollywood.....
ARR has completed BGM in BOYS... pravin mani has not done it for ur info...

MADDY,
wat xml said abt ARR delaying so many movies is true to the core and is widely acknowledged by your own campers as well. even parthiban's yelelo went into oblivion due to ARR. do u noe tat?
and after waiting for so long, ARR can only come up with such quality as udhaya, parasuram, baba, boys, etc.
pity the fans

I THINK ARR SHOULD WORK ONLY WITH MANI SHANKAR AND RAJEEV MENON IN TAMIL AND CONCENTRATE ON HINDI AND HOLLYWOOD PROJECTS
