No.
One one my friends from India has said that AS is really doing well. My brother saw that film twice.

But, when I browse thru the net I see Sokkathangam doing well. I saw that movie. Nothing great but good movie. Will definitely appeal B & C areas.

AS should do well to let Tmil Cinema live long. I have diff. of opinion with Kamal on his ideology but I certainly beleive that he is one and amoung the very few who are the life blood of this industry.

it got lot of applause in Toronto from Srilankan Tamils (theatres). some of us watched over and over . But i read in net (tamilsouth.com, vikatan.com, tamilcinema.com ) it is almost a flop and Kamal gave back some of the money !

to be frank, i dont find a place for the fifth one who has the same calibre as these people do.
by the way, i didnt list them based on the talent. obviously each one are talented in specific field.

for me no1 is always arr cause if u see he tune in his own style and did not copy from others.even one of the english songs i hear copy the music in kadhal desam "unnai kanavillaye".ysr also copy from rahman.even haris jayaraj and vidyasagar also copy from rahman.how come u can say ysr is no.1 or vidyasagar is no.1.when yuvan became top? after rahman went to london.know that.and after arr back u can see demand on ysr songs is going low.is there any md can tune music like Vaa Nila songs in kathal virus.Just think about it.U hear bailamore songs in kathal virus and 18vayathil songs from kathal kondean then come say who is no.1

Hey .. i won't agree with u guys that Yuvan is copying ARR.ARR music is always based on the European classicals.Which sets the standards for the Western Music.Americans do respect and die for that ethnicity.But as usual they wanna set a different trend than what europe dictates.So they came up with a different blend what they called as American classics.Which Yuvan follows.When he started he would have followed the european classics but not now.IR is the one who introduced the european classics into Indian movies.But ARR mastered in that.His knowledge over hindustani,carnatic and european classics gave him a wide scope to perform fusions.Thats where his experiments awed us.But YSR is much inclined towards the American style of composing.U guys could c that visibly in Kathal Kondaen.I don't want to compare any of the music directors work with the other one.Everyone is good in what they do.We have to be so proud that we have such a versatile talent in our industry.Think about the telugu ,kannada and malayalm cine industries they are striving to find a great musician.Still our guys rule there.Thats what we r capable of.So wind up the arguement guys.

Hey Bala U r the one who have actually rated the music directors. Since every person who have been listed had shined during one certain period and we could not judge the music directors as no.1. Every people who have come from tamil industries are no.1 and their success rate depend upon the life of the songs they have tuned. In my opinion who ever been listed are no.1.
