the funny thing is, he isnt even an IR fan. :) He's a YSR fan from what i gather, and loves to put down AR Rahman. I dont know if it's insecurity, or plain vayatherichal... and even though he hates Rahman and doesnt think much of him, he happens to hang around Rahman threads more that YSR threads. Wonder why though. :)
But jus lookin at him rant and rave.. it puts a smile on most ppl's face. And i dont think we shud blame him for that. :)

doesnt matter if AE bombs at the box office itll still be a gr8 movie. look at Kannathil Muthamittal that bombed but was the best movie for that yr.

The movie is to be released in June, but they are having troubles with it. My Uncle is friends with SJSurya and he says they are having trouble with the sensors. AND.. the music is good. The tamil version i know is good. Its different, but it seems that AR Rahman is having competition with Yuvan Shankar Raja who has done great on his musical influence in his movies..

infact YSR DID NOT SHINE IN HIS RECENT 7G. HE DID BETTER AND HIT LIST JOB IN KADAL KONDAIN BUT 7G IS OK BUT LESSER THAN KK. SO YSR STILL STRUGGLING TO COME ACROSS ARR BOUNDRY.

Heard from film circle that Surya is having serious trouble in selling New to distributors . Especially after the miserable flop of the Telugu Naani, even the producers who booked the advance are backing off and pestering Surya to give the money back

IMO NEW songs are preferred ahead of AE.I think NEW songs are a great hit especially down south because the songs are very simple not too western except the rap by Blazee. Whoever switches on the radio can hear NEW,SAKKARA,AMMA songs frequently.In addition the songs THOTTAL and SPIDERMAN are good and the odd man out is MARKANDEYA.I don’t know how he composed such an awful song.
In contrast AE songs are of more quality and complex and the audio may be a hit but many of them do not like the songs like they say they are all similar (Only Jana Gana Mana and Sanda kozhi songs are played in the FM radios).
Seeing the present trend I think ARR should not exert too much for Jaggubhai –he shud compose down to earth melodies like Sakkara song from NEW.It was a typical Rajini song.He should avoid more electronica in Rajini’s films.

Yes uNmai viLambi. The biggest flop must be Roja. Then Gentleman, Kadhalan, Indian, Alaipayuthey, Bombay, Kadhal Desam, Jeans, Mudhalvan, etc.. and the list is never ending.
In your point of view, his hit ones should be Boys, Iruvar, Thiruda Thiruda, Rhythm, etc.. But the music was pathetic, right?

New is bound to disappoint all Rahman fans. Though the songs are great, the picturisation with Shakeela, Kiran etc. will pull him to a new low.
