Yesudas and Illayaraja

With so many topics opened, I have not seen one that discussed these two great musicians. Yesudas and IR have provided TFM some soothing melodies and wonderful songs. Let me start by opening the thread with "Edho Ninaivugal" ... This song has mesmerized me for a long time. Please bring out the best songs with these two and I would personally like to get a list of the songs and keep it safe for a million years.

PS :: Please for heaven sake do not drag ARR into this... This should be purely related to KJY and IR with comments related to the songs and their beauty.. Awaiting your responses....

  I have a music video in which some songs are listed as from ILAMAI KOLANGAL. However, I see the name ILAMAI KAALANGAL mentioned in TFM-DF for the same songs. Which is the correct name? Or, are there two movies out there with these names?

  To all K.J. Yesudas fans:
  
  A few days ago, I received two videos of KJY hits
  from Tamil movies, released by PYRAMID. The first one has a total of 37 songs, and the second one has 36 songs. These 73 songs represent a good cross-section of KJY's Tamil movie career, the oldest song being "Athisaya Raagam.." from APOORVA RAAGANGAL and the latest being "Pachai Kiligal.." from INDIAN. Ilaiyaraja fans would be happy to know that 55 of the 73 songs are tuned by the maestro.
  
  Each song has the name of the movie, name of the MD and the year of release shown on screen. In fact, several of the songs that I had listed earlier on the TFM Statistics thread for identification are included in these videos. The tapes are well recorded, audio and video, considering that some of the songs are very old and in Black & White.
  
  More than just a KJY collection, this could be a good addition to any collection as part of TFM history during the last three decades of the 20-th century.
  
  BTW, I think there is one song in this collection which is not sung by KJY!

  This song from PERIYA KUDUMBAM (Ilaiyaraja-1995)
  is included in the collection, but the voice does not sound like KJY.
  
  One correction. The oldest song in the collection is "Vizhiyei Kadhai Ezhuthu.." (URIMAI KURAL-1974), which is in colour. "Athisaya Raagam.." came out in 1975, even though it was in B&W.

  "Retthatthei Panku Vaichu" is sung by KJ. I have this song in the "three CD collection" of KJY recent hits. In fact, most of the songs in the volumes (1,2 and 3) are great..
