Only the boarding hostel scene is in Singapore. The rest are in Malaysia and M'sian police have been used (or replica) in the movie, which they claim to be Singaore Police. Singapore police would never agree to do such a scene - A tamil police lets Dhanush escape. Only if some Tamil Govt Official sees this it would be in for another ban!

Jacky,
Consider this..!
Adhukku maela enna sonnar-nu Rajni-kae theriyaathu!! :-) So, considering the consideration that I gave you, this is awesome!! :-)

considering your reply i want to consider myself fortunate to get your praises but considering to be modest, i will take that post considerately.

You used "consider" for a considerable number of times!!
btw...do we have anybody other than Rajni and VK who we can pick on? Ramarajan English pesirukkara?
There was some Ramarajan film which had a "World Music Festival" organised like a "MaariAmman Kutchery" setup!! Adhula Ramarajan yaeri "Solli vechaa Ponnatha, ennaatha"-nu paaduvaaru!! :-)

yep, yep! That "World Music Festival" song was a huge success in our college. I haven't had the fortune of seeing the film yet; don't know if it's for good or bad! Also, he always got great appreciation in our hostel's TV room; his songs used to be great relief from the otherwise serious Oliyum OLiyum program; for his dress "sense" such as pachchai pantu - manjal sattai.
Almost all the heroes&villains of the 007 wannabe movies made in 70s will qualify for superu inglis I think. We can also "consider"(!) all the eastman colour films in this category.
And of course: Gowravam, all the Sivaji starrer *nath movies
One incident I'd like to recall: I was watching Panakkaran in a theatre when it was released, in which Rajni at point bursts into flowing inglis with Gauthami. The starting of this was all I could hear; then the auditorium was filled with whistles, claps, cries 'n boos 'n whoas of the rasiga perumakkal. To this date, I don't know what it was that Rajni got to say to Gautami.

Here's a classic bit of inglis; it's not a flaw- but, quite funny. Saw a movie called Mr.Madras? In one scene, Gaundamani offers Senthil "nattu sarakku".
Senthil: Anne, neenga adhu kondu varuveengannu nenachen
KMani: endhuda?
Senthil: adhaanne, kaachu!
KMani: ennadhu?
Senthil: kaachu, kaachu!
KMani: Dey, idhuvum kaachanadhudhanda!
Senthil: ayyo, naan adha sollalanne! yedho veLi naattule 'kaachu'-nnu oru sarakku irukkaame, adhu venum-ne!!
KMani: dey, adhu kaachu ille, 'scotch'! On moonjikku 'scotch' whiskey kaetkudha?!

"Flaws in Movie"
Thank god in PKS..in the beginning they said "No logic, only magic" or else...that movie would have been a tribute to all Flaws in Movies in Film Industry!

I saw Autograph guys!
What an amazing movie!!!!!!!!!
This and Virumandi are the only real good tamil films I have seen since Kannathil Muthamittal.
A glorious two months for tamil cinema!!
I liked this movie much much more than pseudo-serious movies like Nandha and Pithamagan.
I have taken a vow to watch all of Cheran's movies. He is soon becoming one of my favorite diector. I havealready seen Porkaalam, Pandavar Bhoomi and Autograph. All three are very very good. I am dying to see Desiya Geetham and Vetri Kodi Kattu.
Hope our tamilians have atleast 1 % brains to appreciate movies like Autograph. I am buying the DVD for sure! Three cheers to meaningful tamil cinema!!!!

dunno whether some1 has mentioned this before..
in the classic "Vennilavey vennilavey" song from Minsaara kanavu, after the dramatic hug between Prabhudeva and Kajol, both are supposed to sing "Vennilavey vennilavey" (HariH and SadhanaS)... but lo and behold... only Prabhudeva lipsyncs but Kajol merely smiles... Kajol restarts her part only from "Indha boologathil...".
the funny thing is that shot is actually a closeup one and wonder how Rajiv menon missed it.

it does not have to mean that both have to lip sync.
In fact i like movies where songs are used as background and actors dont lip sync at all.
- From: Vj (@ 203.196.170.104)
on: Sun Mar 14 12:01:25 EST 2004
awright.. here we go with another one..
In the "thendral vandhu theendumbodhu" from Avathaaram, at the fag end of the song, if i am right, at the line "thendral vandhu theendumbodhu" when Revathi and Nasser come running thru the children, you can see Nasser literally pushing a kid out of the way when he comes closer to the camera..!!! this, again, is very close to the camera.
- From: Vj (@ 203.196.170.104)
on: Sun Mar 14 12:04:20 EST 2004
and one more...
In the "Arabic kadaloram" from Bombay, Nagendra prasad starts off with a black dress and as the song goes by, he changes costume to white (if i am right), but suddenly for one bit shot(or rather one dance movement), he reverts to the (first) black dress and in the next shot, he continues with the next dress.
So much for a Maniratnam film editing error.
I could hear someone going "Arasiyalla idhellaam saadhaarnamappaaa...."

A flaw(?) in an otherwise nice movie.. (i dont know if it's a flaw!)
In the song that Sheha sings.. what was that guy conducting for?

curses.. two questions to you...
1. which movie?
2. I guess its 'Sneha'?
Are you referring to the movie "Autograph"?

I guess I forgot to name the film! :))
Yeah, It IS autograph.

Well?
Was that a flaw?
or does a conductor wield hidden powers that i dont know of? :)
- From: Vj (@ 203.196.170.104)
on: Mon Mar 22 12:23:21 EST 2004
hmm... logically thinking, a conductor waves his hands as the music plays on (dont know any other words to express that) and thats the message for the orchestra players where and when to start their part. but in "Autograph" movie, its an orchestra by vision-impaired people but how can they see the conductor waving his hands? does the conductor have a sort of bells in the waving stick (just like in cricket where the ball has bells and judging the sound, they hit it with the bat?)
knowledgeable ppl, who hv seen such orchestras can explain this??.

Vj's put it in a better way.
Was that a flaw?

In all of Rambha's movies, I see a huge flaw.
Cast!!!!
How the "DASH" do directors cast her and how the "BIGGER DASH" do people appreciate her? How she came into cinema especially as a female lead artist remains a big mystery of this era.
Down the lane a couple of decades later, I can see our offspring, watching Rambha classic movies and wondering how 'different' our choice of women were.
Besides, there are a couple of other actresses too whom I would place in the same category, but let me indict them one at a time.
