"The album kicks in with the very catchy ye ye ennachu sung by Vasundhara Das in manner that only she can. Next is a beauty of a ballad sonnalum by Unnikrishnan and Harini.
Vaan nila by Srinivas and Karthik is a highly innovative rock-n-roll track that would not let your feet rest. S P Balu is in his usual fantastic form in the heart warming yenthan vanin. Rahman takes off again into a very progressive FTV style track in bailmore with T R Simbu and Tippu doing the vocal honours. And the album ends on a grand note with Mano and Clinton going for the gut with o kadhale, which also sits on an emotional high note in the movie.
Kaadhal Virus has all the ingredients of a typical Kathir-A R Rahman soundtrack. A great mix of upbeat youthful tracks and soulful ballads"

Harris... what i said is true. If you don't accept that is your problem. Harris is better. Kadhal Virus is nothing compared to Leysa Leysa. A.R.Rahman songs are very boring. ore madiri tish tish tishnnu.. The songs sound as if i already heard. It is slightly better than Baba. Even Deva songs will be better than this album. Tune nalla irukkanum. Chumma "kuyo muriyonnu" katha koodathu. Kashtamada idellam oru pattunnu adukku oru support vera. kannthil muthamittal flop, baba flop now kadhal virus flop. He is becoming flop king.

Ramesh,
You are probably in a era, where in you can download quality songs free of cost. But that doesn't help people who spent their day & night to create such good music. Please use the music on the internet to see if the CD or Cassette is worth buying.
Just my 2c.
Hero.

HARRIS JAYA RAJU :
Your posting is totally uncalled for. This is like instigating communal violence. Some do it to just spoil peace.
To who ever thinks LL is better.
I just listened to just three songs and I now feel that Deva is better. Atleast he copies with out any polish.
LL title song has "O palan hare" and "thenkizhakku cheemaiyile" in it very prominantly.
One song as a beats and flow of "Kala kala ven" song from rythm. And the first song..what it is...is another version of "oru nadhi" from Samurai. I loved the samurai song for Nithyashree. I even wrote a big posting here on that song.
I feel that comparing ARR with HJ is like me doing disgrace to ARR. Sorry , HJ...you haven't learnt yet.

Dear ARR fans,
We shall not compare ARR and HJ because they are in the different class altogehter. One is a mentor while the other is a disciple. HJ sounds very similar to ARR as he was his assistant for many years. However, frankly he would not be able to reach the composition, especially music arrangements which is the spine of ARr's music. As for Kadhal Virus, I appreciate his experimenting as no one else in the industry dares to do so. However, i strongly feel that he should experiment the most 2 songs and the rest 4 songs should be the usual style of his. If he can do this, then it would please all his ARR fans and also shun his criticisers. But I do admit that his tunes are not as catchy as before, but his music is far much better in terms of quality and sound reproduction than other MDs out there.

S Vijai Ananth, I think that you can only pass judgement about the recording quality of other MD's when they are all recording in the same countryu. ARR is recording in UK only so you can only see the quality of his songs when you hear YSR's Mounam Pesiyathe which was also done in UK.
Kadhal Virus is a Sumar album but seems such a great hit as ARR's prior releases were such disasters. It is not bad, but nothing to write home about.

all you can come up with is just 10 songs... and that too songs like nethu orutharai, vaa vaa pakkam vaa and megam kottatum doesnt even fall
under this category... Anyway I'm not debating with you...I'm talking about the ratio of R'n'R songs in TFM which is probably 1000:1 or even 5000:1 ...I stand by my statement that TFM has not produced many Rock'n'roll songs... and also 'Vaan nila' is not a 100% rock'n' roll song and definitely a different attempt...

"KV -- sumar album...Ya that is how you people can bring solace to your wandering soul."
Can we say the same thing about your comments?
say "That is how you people can bring solace to your wandering soul". You are an ARR fan obviously you are going to say it is good. You should be sport enough to accept when someone makes a point instead of expecting them to accept your point. The truth is tunes are highly repetitive. beats are also repetitive. I don't think other than ARR fans nobody will enjoy it much. ARR has become a slave to these hip-hop beats, English words mixed lyrics, female sounding male vocals. Most of his beats sound 80s but for ARR fans somehow it sounds modern. That's why i may not like it. Any ARR songs are going to be popular among KV no matter how bad he scores. But the same fans who were raving about Baba album have accepted here now that Baba is a disappointed album. Some of you guys are die hard fans of ARR. It is not a carnatic music where fans criticize their own favorites expecting more and more from them. So enjoy whatever he gives..

A Y,
There is no point in arguing with some ppl in the thread to make ur point genuine... When some ppl have set their mind that ARR music is not good, the more better the songs are, the more frustrated they are & keep saying that tunes are repetitive blah blah blah... I've been seeing this since the release of lagaan, and expect for some neutral & unbiased music fans, others have always criticised ARR's music... I don't find any point in proving others that the songs are good when you feel its good.... It's better to share thoughts and ideas among like-minded people rather than debating with others...some ppl get a sense of great achievement if they comment about ARR's music and have a verbal war in the thread rather than music discussions.... BTW, where are the review by others.. CP,cosmician, OISG ....
