  I guess I found one response that makes perfect sense. Afterall, only those that are unsure of their footing try to pick holes in the opposition so that they can be cozy in their dreams about having pecked away at the opposition.
  Aussiechic, thanks for trying to drum up some sense into these morons trying to argue to no end. But its their loss you see, they are missing out on good music - whether its IR or ARR.
  and I read one quote of Dindigul Leoni, the GREAT pattimandram orator. That sonofabitch is so informed to say on TV that Indian Rupee is kuppai in front of the US Dollar. and i am pained that there are people that still listen to this and even respond. But what can I expect of people that follow that sucker Leoni and waste their time debating whether A or B is better. So what if A is better?

  ar.rehman is a good musician but he can never be compared to genious illayaraja.an ordinary musician cannot compose symphony,but illayaraja has done it .infact he is the only indian to do it.isn't it proud to our country?has arrehman done anything like this?so none of the musicians can be compared to the maestro.he is the greatest in india.i dont think so any argument is necessary for this.

  arrehman is the best. I love his music since 1992 and until i'm die. Because his music very - very best from another included Ilayaraja and many Raja geng's and stupid Harris Jeyaraj. I don't like him because he copy Arrehman music ... i can feel it which music was copied.....ARREHMAN GREAT.....   Music cannot be enjoyed by every one. MUsic cannot elicit or evoke any response in some people. Some intelligence is needed to listen and enjoy music.
  
  To sing or play an instrument, more of that (?) is needed. To create music lot of that (?) is needed. Pushpavanam Kuppusami used to say Kartha is great. Because he creates original music.
  
  Those who really enjoy music will admire Ilajaraja and Vidyasagar in the same way as ARrahman. It looks very funny to compare one's music with the other. I hope those who enjoy music will agree with this opinion.

  arr is a good musician but not agood music director.i know that he keeps on repeating the same stuff again and again.only if u listen to the depth of the music u can find that.it is stupid that giving the same song for hindi,tamil and other movies.he takes a long tome to compose his songs which also resembles the same.NO ONE CAN TOUCH ILAIARAJA.HE IS ON THE TOP AND WILL EVR BE.no one is genius like him in music.ILAIARAJA RULES!

  A GOOD KEYBOARDIST CANNOT BECOME A GOOD COMPOSER.

  I have seen enough of these stupid arguments between IR and ARR. It seems that those ppl arguing on behalf of their idols, are only concern about whom they r supporting, but not mentioning about the real love for music. Thru centuries, music genius (as so called) have in a way copied music from somewhere or another. Some could have been inspired from the sound created by nature, eg. the flow of water in the river, the fluttering of leaves..and so on. Even the west had copied music from the east as the east had copied from the west. Even IR had copied music from others (check this site out http://www.mail-bag.com/copycat.shtml) as ARR and others like Deva, Sirpi, Vidyasagar and so on had done. This is nothing new. The only original music in the whole universe, which I know of, is the one created by nature (or GOD). So guys/gals stop this utter nonsense about copying or who is the greatest. Don't fret among urselves. I believe IR,ARR,Sirpi,Vidyasagar and the rest of the music directors are sitting together over a coffee and watching u guys/gals fighting over them. Please don't bring religion or personal beliefs into this debate. This will show how incompetent or non-worthy u are.
