Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  what to do...it's the nature's rule that...Good thing is hard to sell, but bad things are easy..
  
  for example...if u sell moru from morning to evening with setting up a stall or even shouting from teruvu to teruvu...u might be able to sell 1 or 2 panai only..
  
  but if u were to sell tiruttu sarayam in the jungle...quietly...by nite u will hit a collection of few thousands of rupees.....rite

  Leave the pickles man! Ignore the imposter let us all talk about AE. We have to get together for AE's 50th day celebration and watch this movie in Satyam theatre.   Meenaxi was withdrawn from the theatres by MF Husain himself. Quirky old chap, isnt he?
  And every Album u've listed there were huge hits musically. Except that album "Super Kannungala" :D

  rahman audio gets good sales in first 2-3 days but after listening people are bored.

  After watching those "isaigyani hits", anyone will understand that these movies will be success even if they are without songs bcoz the movies are good.
  
  Now for the ARR movies you listed

  kankalal
  ayutha ezhuthu

  Whatever the movies like enaku 20 collected in the box office was only bcoz of ARR's songs. Boys failed at BO bcoz the movie didnt match the expectations raised by songs. The only good thing in Kankalal was the beautiful songs. No one wud say Ayutha Ezhuthu was musically bad though the movie failed. And Meenaxi was a wonderful album.

  1st of all what do you mean by supporting the movie? Do you think the songs in Virumandi supported the movie? That was a horrible composition.
  
  Pithamagan had one great song and I am only happy IR composed it.
  
  Regarding initial audio sales, ARR is the number 1 since his debut. His releases get high initials not only in TN but also in other South Indian states. IR can only dream about some thing like that and I am sure that he will never overtake ARR in this matter as IR lost his midas touch he once had.
