  I didn't start this proxy war. Just because someone is against ARR and Maniratnam in Ayudha Ezuthu. People started using that someones nick in several threads to tarnish someone's name. So I turned the tide against them. You sampled so far how much damage I can cause to individuals doing so. Since you asked for peace.   Happened to watch the new preview of New that has few clips of all songs. I haven\'t listened to the full songs yet. from the clips, the amma song was nothing great, very ordinary and people went gaga over it few months ago. Also one simran song has the same beats of \'thunia ye thunia\' from unakkaga ellam unakkaga. Thunubhai inspired from that song?

There are couple of amma songs I don\'t like that came in Ramarajan movies, but I guess you would have loved them just for the sake of loving your mom, is that right? if you don\'t like them, can I say u dun have any corners for ur mom,DO U HAVE A MOM BTW??

  Please try to avoid using this thundu bai thing. What sort of evil pleasure u get by using this word for ARR. If you have any reservations regarding ARR songs, u can proceed, like your (honest, i feel) remark on AMMA song. But pls avoid this thundu bai stuff. We dont know whether you do this just for fun or for hatred/jelousy. Anyway isnt it better to civilise ourselves to make this tfm forum a peaceful place to discuse likes and dislikes of music of MD's without going to the cheap extent of tarnishing their image. After all whatever we say, it will never affect that person (in your case ARR).

  Looks like the film has been butchered at the hands of the censors.Surya has accepted the cuts instead of taking the film to the revising committee.Maybe pressure from distributors about the release date was too much.It's slated for release on 9th july.Not sure if it will indeed hit the theatres on the day.

  When most of the TFMers talk about that Amma song I dont know why there is such a fuss regarding that song.Yes I agree this song is really great.It is also one of the songs in the recent times that made me weep bitterly.It is a emotional song ,very melodious and absolutely vintage ARR.
  1)Also I would like to add the IR song is also great in the Rajini film and no one can ever forget the impact that the song made during its release.It is considered as one the greatest songs of IR.Again a vintage IR.
  2)Both the ARR version and IR version are melodiously composed in their respective styles.and also see the time difference that the IR version came some 11 years back.
  3)IMO I would rate the song "Uyirum Neeye"from the movie Pavitra over New song .I dont know why this movie was underrated .All the compositions from that movie were melodious.

  yess music man....pavithra's amma song (uyirum neeye') certainly ranks way ahead of New's amma song.... in composition, melody, lyrics, rendering everything..tat song is really great... but have u seen the pavitra movie....oh that is a waste movie

  Tastes differ-as far as i am concerned among ARR compositions,the 'Pavitra'song is far ahead compared to 'New'.i somehow felt the 'New'song lacks soul in tune&rendering.

  well,i felt the Pavitra song was like a robot singging to a mother :P ,where else the NEw song had more of a 'kid's feelings,a youthful beats with soul stiring tune With unni & sadhana giving thier best in da song...surely the pavithra song is good,but i call it a 'boring' type of mother song!

  I think the little advantage that this Amma song has is the clear sound,simple orchestration and lively rendering by both the singers.Yes infact both the songs(Pavithra and New)are great.Also there is a difference in the songs view.In New this song is rendered as a little boy's love towards his mother and in Pavithra its the other case.
  The reason for my liking towards the old song is the maturity that ARR displayed in his composition in the starting years of his career.
  Meanwhile we are not ARR bashers.Iam one of those diehard fans of ARR who discuss abt his compositions good or bad.
