The idea of creating a web site for P. Susheela evolved in the threads
'P. Susheela solos' and 'P. Susheela fans". After 6 months of efforts
from many PS fans, the site is ready for launch as a gift from all of us
on P. Susheela's birthday on Nov 13. The URL is
http://psusheela.org
Your input in the form of feedback and any material such as photos,
artilces, and such is appreciated.


A small function has been arranged in Chennai on that day. Here are teh
details

Date: 13-11-2003
Venue: G.R.T. Grand Days(in b/t teynampet - Pondybazar)
Time: 11.00 a.m

Guests : Mellisai Mannargal M.S. Viswanathan and T.K. Ramamoorthy,
some other celebrities(not finalized)

We invite you all (particularly people in Chennai,Bangalore,Kerala &
Andhra) to attend this and make this function a Great Success

  I am very honored by the gesture of writing a intro to her web page. My
  thanks to all of the patrons. Looks like we have come a long way....3
  years..It was nice knowing all of you during the process. I will cherish

  Mellisai Mannargal MSV – TKR, Madhurakuralon P.B.Sreenivos, Notable Personality Shri Nalli Chinnasamy chetty arrived exactly at 11. A.M
  
  I brought Ramamoorthy from his Residence , while Adhepalli joined PBS from his house.
  
  MSV came directly from a shooting , so he had to rush, mean while Sandhya gave a call that they have started.
  
  We Received all the Legends and helped them sit comfortable in the function hall.
  
  Mrs Kamala, Aandal Balu,Me,Kalai,Mr.Adhepalli & his wife greeted PS & her Family at GRT’s Residence and took her to the function hall.
  
  
  At the Front of the Hall, MSV had already started to leave waited to see PS. PS fell @ his Feet and he blessed her. We requested MSV to stay back for 5 more minutes and he agreed. So we brought both of them into the hall.
  
  Adhepalli asked MSV to start the function by his speech. MSV Wished PS on her Birthday and said “Rasigarlin anbu than avarukku virudhu. Ivar oru Thalai sirandha Paadagi” . PS gave away the Memento to MSV and I accompanied him till the front gate.
  
  Adhepalli invited PS & Sandhya to lit the Lamp and after that Sandhya Sang the Payer song “Mooshika vaagana”.
  
  Adhepalli then invited all the Personalities to the front dias. They were greeted with Shawl.
  
  Then Kalai took the charge. Ramamoorty clicked Mouse to Open the Web-Site.
  Every one Applauded. The Front Page Appeared. Kalai then started explaining the Purpose and details of this Site.
  
  He Explained Tamil Page in detail, showing the varieties she has sung.
  
  When he turned to Malayalam, People were stunned when we played Chethimandharam, Raaja shilpi & Priyathama.
  
  While Showing Kannada Page, I played my Favourite “Olave Jeevana”.
  
  Then Telugu was shown.
  
  Kalai explained most of the links and all were listening carefully, in between kalai also showed his grievances about the recognition which is due for this Legend.
  
  Overall explanation of the site was over.
  
  Then was the birthday Celebration of this Isaikyuil. She cut the Cake and the first piece she herself gave to T.K.Ramamoorthy sir, While Adhepalli’s Wife made PS eat a piece.
  
  Ramamoorthy then described “endrum Markandayeni” and blessed her a long life.
  
  Then was the moment of the Day.
  
  Madhurakuralon P.B.Sreenivos in his usual style started singing about PS.
  “Kaaviya Paadagi Suseela” .
  He described her as “Nigarilla Paadagi” “Inayilla Paadagi”
  
  He also said People say 13 is an unlucky number .. P.Susheela is an example to make that statement false. What more example do you need.
  
  He remembered a programme some years back in Annamalai mandram where he asked her to sing “Sonnadhu nee thana” while she asked him to sing “Nilave ennidam”.
  He said when he was singing Nilave , he turned towards orchestra & was stunned. Yes PS was enjoying by closing her eyes. He described “Kalaingan thane oru rasiganum kooda”.
  
  He also said , For her 25’th year completion we released a silver Extended tape which had Meera bhajans by PS and some hindi duets by PS & P.B.S. For a Particular Song he was expecting PS to spell a word correctly but he totally forgot that because of her Sruthi which mesmerized him.
  
  He described her as susruthi. “suthamana sruthi”. He said we enjoy singing when our co singers sing Perfectly otherwise it would be a bad show.
  
  He also said she should get “Bharath Ratna” either in one Jump or by getting other titles in step by step.
  
  PS interrupted by saying some rasiga in Andhra said there should be no name before and after P.Susheela. This is enough. Awards will come by the grace of God.
  
  PS also said how P.B.S wanted to teach her Urudu to sing in North. P.B.S said yes , because Lata,Asha had different voices. There was no voice of PS’s style. That’s why I wanted to teach urudu.
  
  P.B.S described Tamilnadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha as “veeranganai” and he asked everyone to watch “venniradai “ . He talked about a particular scene where srikanth plays piano, jayalalitha sings .. he said “ivanga paadinathu than” immediately PS sang “Enna enna Vaarthaigalo”
  He praised “sonnadhu nee thana”. He said “devika kodukka vendiya emotionsellam ivanga kurallaye koduthirupaanga”
  
  P.B.S said “innum pesikonde pogalam aanal ippo poruppu adhigam aagi vitadhu”. PS greeted him for being appointed as the chair person for the Tamilnadu Iyal isai mandram.
  
  I asked P.B.S to sing 2 lines of Roja malare, PS started the P.B.S’s humming. P.B.S himself repeated and sang beautifully.
  
  He praised the site, and also wished the members behind this by saying the names individually.
  
  We asked them to give a standing Pose for a group photograph
  
  When P.B.S was about to leave, vijay-tv’s Rajarajeshwari interviewed him for 5 mins about this Site. In that too he Praised about this site and wished PS on her birthday.
  
  P.S gave away the memento to P.B.S
  
  Kaaveri Maindhan – Chairperson of Kannadasan Narpani Mandram spoke in praise of P.Susheela & Kannadasan .

  T.K.R also took leave from us.
  
  Then P.S gave 7 minutes interview to vijay-tv. She praised the fans for making this effort. She also said creating a website is not simple. It is simple to say but the hard work behind that is more important. She mentioned the names and said she herself doesn’t know that she had sung in 12 languages . She was surprised to hear kalai saying that. She also expressed the experience she had in future. Yes one person registered PSUSHEELA.COM and for two years there was no work on the site.
  She also said people should come forward to do like this not only to me to all other achievers. She said I’ve told these people to do for others which really showed her generosity.
  
  Subbu gave away the Vote of Thanks
  
  She enjoyed the whole day. Which is what we needed.
  
  Then it was Lunch. Aandal Balu made PS eat some curd rice.
  
  Then I accompanied her to her residence.
  
  The Entire event was covered by Vijay-Tv, Dinamalar, Dinamani,NewsToday,Swathi.
  
  We had also arranged for a video coverage.
  
  Me and kalai have captured this memorable event in our handy cameras too.

  Evening .. I was blessed to be a part in the Felicitation to the achievers in Film Industry.
  Yes noted M.P Mr.Subbiramireddy felicitated all legends in Kamraj Arangam.
  Me and Adhepalli went with PS
  
  It was a treat to see all stalwarts in the same stage.
  
  Yes MSV,K.B,K.Vishwanath,P.Susheela,S.Janaki,Vanijayaram,Leela,Jikki,Jamunarani,L.R.Eswari,Chitra,Anjalidevi,Jayachitra,Manjula,Satyanarayana were honoured.
  
  The Special invitees were Governor of TN Mr.Ram mohan rao, Hindu RAM,Mr.Vudayar
  
  I was Privileged to be part of this occasion. I have covered most of it. Particularly
  PS,SJ,VJ in a row. They were chatting , cracking jokes and laughing which was nice to watch.

  i saw the Vijay TV news.
  They showed the website. Ponnadai porthal on PS. PS cutting the birthday cake. PS was very active and cheerful. MSV,PBS,Ramamoorthy all were present.PS spoke abt how tough to create a website and the pains involved.PBS spoke a few words on PS.Raj was also shown praising PS.
