Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::
Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.
Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.
In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.
Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.
For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

during the first week, i saw a lot of postings in many websites against Boys. now i see them gradually going down. people have stopped making all ho-haas coz they know that public will surely get bored and go in other direction. i feel even that has started to happen.
it seems boys has settled down for a long run.
good luck shankar.

Hey, that's terrifically witty. Paran, you appear to be kicking some serious butt here, from what I can make out :-). More power to you.

BOYS's dismal show at BO
Ok, it is official now. The much talked about film, BOYS, is losing its grounds. With its lewd dialogues in the first half of the film and nothing-great scenes other than good music, the film slowly losing collections.
The film is declared now as a ‘average film’ as per box-office fate is concerned. Female audiences are not coming to the theatres because of double entendres (one wonders whether Sujata has written the dialogues really?). Interestingly the Telugu version of the film is doing good business in urban centers in AP.

Kadhalan was also termed a average-box office hit..... but it churned out Rs.2-3 crores some 9 years back...... so let us see..... i personally feel Boys's budget is not more than 8-9 crores...... so the money shuld be earned back i guess......

ALavandaan was 24 crores ..that included 4-6 crores of salary for Kamal Hassan ,2 crorres for actreeses + other actors ......
bOYZ is 22 crores without any star ..I think in this regard BOYZ is the most expensive film ever made .....

Nattamai,
In most of the songs, the lyrics are Greek and Latin even for our own people, so it doesn't matter if the songs are played in chinese shops

BOYS SONGS WERE FANTASTIC. ESPECIALLY "ALAI ALAI" AND "GIRL FRIEND" SONGS. EVERY TEENAGER SHOULD WATCH BOYS. THEY MAY SEE THEM SELVES IN THE MOVIE. IT REFLECTED THE CHARACTER OF EVERY YOUNGSTER.
THE SONG "BOOM BOOM" AND "MAARO MAARO" WERE SHOOTED WITH LOTS OF DIFICULTY. PICTURISATION WERE FANTASTIC. NEW CAMERA AND GRAPHICS TECHNIQUES WERE USED TECHNICALLY. ONCE AGAIN SHANKAR PROVED THAT HE IS A GENIUS IN THE INDIAN FILM INDUSTRY.
DEFINITELY AWARDS WERE WAITING FOR AR RAHMAN, SAABHU SIRIL AND RAVI K CHANDRAN.

I hope all of you here will see Mr. Shankar movie in a new prespective. His movie will give young guys out there a chance to show their ability.
First of all, when the movie was released in Malaysia everybody including my sister told me not to watch it at theater. But i went there with my friends.
It was not like what they had described. I like it. The song, the story line, the 'boys'.
As girl i feel i give A- for the movie. Pls go and watch it. I hope if "Bharath" from BOYS read this pls mail me

I dont think arr is that narrow minded to refuse to do the bgm of the film..i am sure there would have been other reasons...morever,so what if one magazine refuses to do review..agreed that the vikatan magazine is prestigious ..but if there is some film that is bound to go against conventions, there would be opposition from conventional fronts..
that shouldnt disappoint the makers of the film

sabesan,
i have already told u this....but intha forum-la sonnatha kanakku irukkattumey!! ....
I made the comparison to Krishnaswamy's PA not just because they share the same opinion....but the dialogues were as if somebody had given money and asked him to spread word!! :)
Venki,
that i what i said....these things are unacceptable just because they are from Shankar...no one expected this sort of a movie from him...frankly i did not see any wrong done...i was just seeing it as another subject he handled....actually given a youth subject, how do u think it should be handled? ... no fun, am seriously asking you....
Bala,
if u are talking about mudhalvan or Indian thats completely a different case....those are movies with proper story lines....they thus have some scope to use graphics in them...there is absolutely no story in BOYS....i just like the way it has been narrated...like u dont tend to get bored anywhere in the film....ive watched it twice and dont mind watching it again
i feel....Azhagana Ratchasiye = Boom Boom....taken in a similar manner...and ofcourse i still feel Ale Ale and SaReGaMe are outstanding...
if u say TI showed the stupidness of parents y dont u consider BOYS showing the stupidness of 5 boys who dont get their priorities right?
i can get it if ppl blame TI as well as BOYS coz that clearly shows that they are against such 'stupid' films which are against our culture...but i dont feel it is right to condemn BOYS and hail TI

I have a question?Do u guys watch the same trailers i did at www.boysforgals.com? Because if you did well then those that say they didn't expect this must have skipped the trailers.Because the trailers contained the streaking scene and also the prostitute scene. So the director and company gave the viewers warning so everyone should have been aware.
