All times in EST +10:30 for IST.
IR' music has the biggest scope than any other music for more stronger rhythms like in American music. BUT, that is the problem, BUT, IR does not want the melody of his songs to be overpowered by the percussion, which is kept in the background. This explains why Rahman's music is more acceptable to western ears, where there is no interest in melody, but the rhythm is more predominant. For this reason, IR will not be accepted by American audiences or in Hollywood, because look at the theme music of the movies, lots of tough percussion - even though most of the ideas are bland.
About PINEWOOD (Bond movies for example), IR will be appreciated in Europe because there melody is valued and not the American musical ideas.
So, if there is a campaign to market IR' music in America, first rework the orchestra of the songs and make the rhythms predominant.

Why can't IR make it in Hollywood? Because the American ideals of music are lousy!! I am not referring to classical music here, I mean pop culture music!
Whenever there was a big event at my high school, they'd play this awful techno/heavy metal/rap crap. I don't know how the other kids were able to stand it; I sure couldn't! I felt like just picking up a sledge hammer and smashing the speakers to smithereens.
I'm just not a big fan of western music. Sometimes I hear a good song, but I feel that Indian music is far superior. All IMHO. NOM to you fans of Western pop culture. :-)

ALl i was trying to come to is this: Ilayaraaja the 21st Century Composer for the 21st Bond film (the next one!) , always produced at Pinewood Studios! What if that happens!!!! One classic opening song from Ilayaraaja featuring a singer like Andy Williams or a more current craze like Shania Twain or Gwen Stefani or somebody like that other than that Celine Dion.
Then a completely dramatic opening theme similar to the mindblowing prelude of the song APPANEY APPANEY...... Dreaming on, buddy.... that is me!

that is how u guys have been talking abt IR...
he is better than anyone..but he just couldn't get a good offer...(yea rite)
prove it..by making ur products ackowledged world wide...and make sure....they are praised...like ARR's music...

ARs song climbed chart of UK TOP 20 coz its POP style and also good.........IRs is good but not POP style ....there the thing in question is the compatibility ...not creativity ...
if a indian guy is hansome and modern with jeans etc...foreign gals will get attracted....but if he is wearing dhoti or some regional and typical indian dress how cannot be accepted that much by the foreign gals.....

Zakir Hussain was wearing Pyjama,Kurta and Vikku was wearing Dhothi when Shakthi toured US.
When L Subramanian played "Vedic chants"at Moscow with Russian Philharmonic he was in pyjama Kurta.MS wore her traditional MS Blue Silk saree when singing at UN not the bell bottoms.
Ravi shankar never wore jeans when he played for Beatles.
I think dress can t be a major deciding factor for acceptance or non acceptance of a musician.If dress can decide then any Joker from Bollywood would gain immediate musical recognition.(Anu Malik wears beads ,Bappi wears the entire output of Hindalco & Malco as jewellery ).
Maria carey,Lopez does not seem to wear anything but still has a worldwide poularity and acceptance for their music.The only visible attire of MJ is his Golden abdomen guard worn outside the pant.He is still poular across the globe for his music.
