Sandiyar renamed as Virumandi and cassette released

The most awaited sandiyar album is released .I heard all the songs.It has totally ten songs out of which 6 songs are sung by kamal himself and two are sung by illayaraja and 2 numbers by shreyaghosal.All the songs are perfect folk and 100% traditional tamil folk songs and the lyrics are excellent in the madurai slang and all are situational songs.I will meet u again with a detailed review.buy the album immediately for die-hard fans of IR

  Mada Vizhake suits best with IR's voice i think.
  In fact Kamal tries to sound like IR here. Dunno may be IR recorded with his voice first, then Kamal feels he needs to sing this song and re recorded.

  it is a tragedy that kamal is nowadays singing almost all sings by himself. Illayraja still owes a great lot to the voice of spb just like msv to0 the voice of tms.
  
  Without spb and tms, they would not have created history.
  
  Illayaraja's glory rests with spb.

  It is very sad trend by Kamal usurping most of the songs in his movies by his odd voice. There were days when his voice was mellifluous, like 'Gyayiru oli mazhayil, thingal kulikkavandhaall' from Sadhurangam, 'Panneer pushpangaley raagam paadu' from Aval Appadithaan, 'Pon maanai thedudhey, enn jeevan paadudhey' from O maaney maaney, etc. These days, his voice is just atrocious and he just doesn't understand that he should retire from singing. I am ardent fan of his voice of yester years. Konjam yaaraavadhu namma arivu jeevi kittey sollakoodaadha?

  kamal always experiment new things in indian media , people like kamal are only setting trend in indain movies, i dont thing his voice is constraint in the movie , he is a proffesional actor not like others who loves to invade tamil nadu through media , he is a person to be admired and not to be commented , even Eddison blewed off 100 bulbs b4 making one lite properly

  "Ya Ya YA Ya Ya YA....idlikku mavu araikka".....man Kombula pova suthi ROCKS!!! and so are Onnaivida, sandiyare sandiyare and Viru Viru.....the creative genius in the maestro never seems to drain inspite of churning out tunes for the last 25+years.

  Virumaandi just rocks....defy one of IR's best....diff genre of songs altogether. IR is just completely in a diff world n class of his own. n rightly pointed out abt his latest releases' variety by on of the regular TFM user.

  I surely had the satisfaction of yester-years of Gr8 IR period.. this shows why he won so many tamil hearts. Pithamagan, then Sandiyar, this never stops i guess, and the greatest are the BGM.. so mellifluous!!

  hey ppl be realistic...sure this is a great album but should be enjoyed with visuals. for all of those raja haters here's my advice.....listen to the songs the day after you see the movie. i bet my whole life savings that you would realize his genius. and all of those posts that Raja rulezzzzzz cant be accepted without analysis.

  Have anyone noticed IR's recent choice of instruments and voices - Not only the songs but also the BGM Tracks.
  
  HEY RAM - Piano, Sax, (western classical)
  IVAN - Violin, Mirudhangam, Gatam etc, (Carnatic)
  KASI - Tharai, Thambattai etc singer Hariharan
  Pithamagan - changu, molam and now
