AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  'Yaahaikkum Adi Sarukkum'. "Athuvum naanthaan periya isaiyamaippaalan endra garvam kondaal, nitcheyam bayangara sarukkaakathaan irukkum. ARR is a chinnappayal.Still long way to go to achieve what IR has achieved. He is slow, loosing his assistants like Harris Jeyraj and Aslam Mustapha. But really if he had so much talent, then he should come up with better tunes than these.....For one of the top earning Asians, he better produce something better, not just be arrogant and claim in interviews that i only make quality music..that's why i am so slow...bull-sh*t quality...my foot quality,, if not the fans will boot him into oblivion. Wake up ARR and his blind-no-music-sense-fans!!!!

Why dont u get the fuc* out of here, bcoz u know that this forum is for people looking forward to Boyz (maybe u too r looking forward but for wrong reasons).   ARR not talented??long way to reach IR...man...u guys r so S*tupid!!In 9 years gap,arr manage to rule TFM & HFM...Ir??in 20 years...havent even had a blockbuster hit in hindi,but flops many (Hey ram)rahman'stamil album,Roja,was the most famouse album ever in TFM history...mind it.perukku mattum truth,aana pecheleh oru truth koode ellai...mannakatti!!

  Dinesh IR was not at all interested doing hindi film.That is the only reason TF industry(not only TFM) reached to such extent.Also telugu and malayalam.IR was doing equal no of movies in telugu but never failed to compose TFM.
  
  So It is not a great thing ARR's hindi albums.
  
  ARR(western copycat) is simply killing TF industry with years for a single film.Jumping over hindi and london is the only thing he did for the past four years.
  
  Try to understand the TF industry is in poor situation now.

  I don't know how you deduced that buddy. But I think the most famous TFM album would be from : Mouna Ragam, Agni natchitaram, 16 vayadhinile,
  Jhonny, Thiruda Thiruda, anjali, sindhu bhairavi, shankarabharanam, salangai oli etc.. Roja was famous but not the most famous. Don't forget that there have been plenty of MGR, MSV movies which people still remember.

  is there any way by which u can say an album is "not most famous".when many people talk about it u can say it is famous.u can prove that.but u cant say that such and such an album is not most famous...

  "I'm not a machine, just a creative person", that's what ARR says. Yeah, I agree, his recent releases have not been fantastic, but surely much better than IR and everyone elses recent ones. He has been making splendid music for 10 years, one can't shine forever. But ARR is definitely million times better than IR. Those who can't appreciate ARR's music can't call themselves humans, get lost and go to hell.

  I have been following this thread since its birth! Since then we ad ARR vs IR fights, they were healthy fights, with valid points. Now ive stopped posting here cause people here cant accept facts, and arguments always bring in a trash full of filthy language.
  
  Anyway what i want to say is that, when you see people bash after listening to a min clip, it just shows that these guys want to tear apart ARR for any reaason. Guys the audio clip was bad quality, songs r very short, so how can u judge?
  
  
  For the first time in my life, this ARR bashing has made me smile, because i realize that these samples have scared the inner soul of Anti ARR group, that they have no choice but to bash (but waht else can these souls do?).

  hey man,im talking famouse as in EVERY RACE listen to it,and non of tamil album,b4 roja that is,was ever respected by pep (esp in m'sia)after roja,everyone was humming Chinna Chinna asai...and i mean it,i aint creating this up...all my chinese & malay friends,told me,ROJA album is the best tamil songs..A.R.Rahman was great and all...and chinna chinna asai was sung by all races that time,since then,other md's album are also apriciated,so im not talking about in india,btw,if india dun apriciated IR's or MSV album that time,wuts the use compposing right?and what else indian at india that time listen to...they hardly listen to eng,chinese,malay songs!1but in malaysia chinese,eng & malay song was the only one rocking that time,but it all changed after ROJA!!!remember that!!

  Even if that statement about the musical tastes changing after Roja is true (which may be a gross generalization of some casual observance by the writer) - does it really matter how people in Malaysia react. It is one of the SE asian countries. It is not if as it is the USA.
