** Chorus Utilization by Various MD's - Guru **

Can u guys comment and compare various MD's chorus utilization in the songs, backgrounds. Even MD's own voice in the BGM could be included in this discussion

Sample ones:

IR - His own voice in Annakili, Metti
Chorus: Kaalapaani (BGM), Hey Ram and many
Songs: Innumerable (including Ram Ram..Salam Hey Ram, En Iniya Pon Nilave, Madai Thirandhu etc)

ARR: His own voice in Roja, Bombay etc
Chorus: Gentleman, Vandemataram
Songs: Many including recent Baila More

MSV: Many

  Raja's use of chorus peaked in malayalam movie-'Guru'. IMHO....

  Recent excellent chorus is the Nan thana nam part in the Sonnalum song from KV. WOW, what a placement in the song.
  
  This thread seems good. There are 1000s of songs with great Chorus. Lets try to find out some.

  In "alaigal oaivadhillai"... that excellent Jathi with chorus (jathi was sung by P. Susheela but her name was not shown in title card). Many times the jathi will be used esp. when radha runs on the beach side and meets karthik in between the rocks... That piece ends with a high pitch humming by IR himself.. A classic example in deed.

  shouldnt rasathi from Thiruda Thiruda be the first on everybody's list.

  I liked IR/SPB chorus in the tail piece of 'thagida thathimi' song from salangai oli. That was an amazing piece.
  
  Then listen to the chorus in devar magan esp in the scene when sivaji dies.. brilliant piece of work by IR.. incomparable! In fact this whole movie has a lot of chorus in the BGM.
