  Except for Alaipayuthey Kanna.. which is set to raga Kanada, there is no pure raga usage in this album. Shades of Kirawani are seen in Sept. Madham, Mishra Sindhubhairavi shades are seen in Snehidane. However, interesting scale changes are heard in Pachai Nirame & Yaaro yaarodi.

  I just listened to the songs from the movie Alaipayuthe. The music sounds OK and am sure it is going to be a hit. However I was sad to find most of the singers come up with their own pronounciations. Sadhana sargham and asha sing in a way that sound tamil but still its hard to understand what they are saying. I am no tamil fanatic but I would like to make no compromises as far as the language is concerned. I think there are a lot of talented singers who can do a much better job. I do not understand what is with MD's and north indian singers. To add insult to injury VM comes with his usual platonic tamil-english lyrics. It is about time that MD's/lyricist did justice to the language.
  
  PS:I loved the song alaipayuthe mainly for its lucid rendition.

  I am very sad about Alai Paayudhe. Excepting Pachai Nirame & Alai Paayudhe all other songs are very mediocre songs. I am not sure whether this is going to be a hit. I consider this album is not upto the standard. Well I am even concerned about the Alai Paayudhe song. It is a carnatic song heavily supported by bass guitar and drums. Nothing to cherish much. This is only my opinion. Is IRs recent hits like Hey Ram, Kannukkul Nilavu, Tirunelveli make ARR nervous?!? Take it easy fans.

  If ARR had changed the Alaipauyudhe tune, you would have anyway found some fault and said the original beauty of classical song is lost.. if the musical director preserves the tune and adds some instruments, that is also not cherishable. seidhallum kutram, seiyavitaalum kutram.. kutram solbavargal sollitu thaan irupanga.
  
  May be, you may find the album mediocre and that would be purely your opinion. But what warranted you to make statements like "Is IRs recent hits like Hey Ram, Kannukkul Nilavu, Tirunelveli make ARR nervous?!? Take it easy fans." Do you think ARR composed Alaipaythe after listening to all these albums? and more important, by what standards are you calling "Tirunelveli and kannukul nilavu hit"? Neither audio sales are high.. and even critics dont call them good.
  
  If alaipayudhe album is very mediocre according to you, why put it on your web site under "latest HITS of ARR" (you imply its a hit?)? or is it only to add traffic to your site? And why is that only one song of Tirunelvi (a HIT accoriding to you) figure in your site?
  
  In your site, for ARR songs you have titled them as "Latest hits of ARR by STS", ( I'm curious to know what is this "by STS" which figures only in ARR page means. while in IR page you have given title "Latest Hits of Musical Genius Dr. Maestro Illayaraja"!! (no "by STS" singnature here) People who hosts sites with various MDs need to have a neutral attitude!

  Don't take it too personal. In fact I was sarcastic and nothing bad against ARR. If so, I would not have a page on ARR. Well, coming to your point on Hey Ram, Kannukkul Nilavu and Tirunelvi they are top of the charts now. I can get you the link (I think it is dhinaboomi.com).
  
  2) I had only one audio song resource on Tirunelveli. Once I have the CD I will have them all in my page.
  
  3) Regarding Alai Payudhe in my opinion and from MR-ARR, people expect more and this is a let down. Your opinion differs I know. I am not offending any one and if you don't want the truth, then ignore my statements.
  
  4) Regarding the title of the page, I think, I can call it any name I like. Right? Or If you have any suggestion I will do that. Well, when I spend hours to maintain a site, anything wrong if I put my name.
  
  5) I am a lover of music since MSV days and I have the best collection (or trying to have the bet) of MSV, ARR, IR, KR, YSR and all. This I believe will prove you all that I am neutral. Well I am.
  
  6) Instead of getting ferocious think calm. Take the positive criticisms sportively. They are for the better. You can't expect everyone to fall flat on everybody.

  Sure, nothing wrong. Your web site is good and hours of your work has resulted in something furitful. But why is that in ARR page, you have said "Latest ARR hits by STS", while in IR's page, your name is missing. Instead you have added IR's titles. In my opinion, it doesnt show any neutrality. May be, you like IR more than others, but when you discuss a different MD's work, dont drag IR unnecessarily and try and draw unnecessary comparisons.

  As I mentioned, my intention is not to compare Alai Paayudhe with IR albums. I felt it is not upto ARR standards.
  
  Regarding adding my name to ARR songs title is not intentional. Thanks for mentioning that. I will remove my name or add my name to IR page. This sort of comparison makes me really laughing.

  Firstly, I was not the one that made such a remark. Nor am I dragging in lame excuses for making any such remarks. Therefore, I don't see where my remarks were cheap or silarai. I am sure that you cannot reply to my remarks though. Nor do I want to have anything much to do with the repeated silly remarks that you come up with, like looking at someone else's comment. And I could certainly say more but I don't want to go as low as you did by attacking ARR personally. But buddy, to end this, even if you can't realize it, the 'silarathanam' was not in me.
  Easy goes me, as well...And like you said, TAKE IT EASY, POLICY.
