IR Songs which are tough to reproduce on stage

Guys..I think many guys here are instrument players or music club members or singers..It will be nice to hear from u people which song made u struggle to reproduce or which song was tough to sing..or which one had some unimaginable instrument peices which made u cry while reproducing..can u please share those with us..

  ONE OF THE SONGS WHICH WE FOUND VERY DIFFICULT TO REPRODUCE AS AN AMATEUR COLLEGE BAND WAS POOVE SEMPOOVE ESPECIALLY THE VEENA BASS COMBO.

  dont worry friends nobody reproduces IR songs on stage these days.

  I know for a fact that as far back(!) as 1997, IR songs were the norm and some MSV numbers (Engeyum Eppodhum, Sambo siva sambo etc). In fact, it was a rarity to go to one of these competitions and not listen to atleast 3 renditions of 'Pani Vizhum Malarvanam' or 'Ilamai yennum poongaatru'. :)
  So what songs do college bands play at inter-collegiate competitions these days?

  Majority of the songs that are still played on stages are IR's songs. It's a treat to do IR songs on the stage and that's what the crowd want to hear. I don't know about madras, but in north america, IR still rules. For people who like challenges have to choose IR's songs only. I am singer in a band and we have done quite a few shows in north america and I know this for fact!.

  kitcha, ur right. those 4 songs were permanent fixtures in college culturals. ilamayenum poongatru may be one song that will touch hearts even without them knowing it. (in my case, i told some of my friends if at all i am playing IR songs, I will only do after i get complete orchestra. so far i have not even known how it is to be on a stage and hold the mic....;-)

  Its nice to hear that people atleast stick to Raja onstage. :)
  The last time I played was at Harmony, the CIT culturals, back in 97. We practiced 3 songs...Pani Vizhum Iravu(M.Ragam), Meenkodi thaeril(Karumbuvil) and Aagaya Gangai(D.Yudham). But because of time constraints each team was allowed to play just 1 song and we did 'Pani Vizhum'...came in second. PSG Tech who won the first place played 'Yengeyum yeppodhum'.
