No more A V Ramanan?

dear friends, shocked to note the change in spathaswarangal. NOT HOSTED BY AVR ANYMORE? feed back pls. I think it is great loss.

  Even i was surprised.The title track sung by Ramanan&his wife has been retained but the compere&the orchestra are new.He is the guy who reads news on Sun&also did Madhavan's bro-in-law rople in 'Nala Damayanthi'.Such changes are generally caught on by the Tamil magazines but this one has caught everyone by surprise.Very bad that Sun did not even have the courtesy to announce the change priorly&tell a note of thanks to Ramanan for hosting the programme for so many years.

  when avr was there, people branded him as nuisance and irritating etc.
  incidently, after avr, 1wk it is surender with mv and gangai, next wk ranganathan, who knows next wk.
  i think on similar program, vijay tv quality is much better it could be due to subashree thanikachalam factor.

  nowadays standard of singers have come down drastically both in "raagamaalika" and sapthaswarangal.it is for sure tha avr wouldn't go for "jayatv" as he had some misunderstanding with subhashree thanikachakam(opening director of "sapthaswarangal") when she directed sapthaswarangal.thats y she shifted to vijaytv and then to jayatv.it's rather better for avr to quit suntv as it would bring his dignity down by conducting a waste programme.but it is a loss for us as none can equalise avr in conducting it.

  'mani' is not wrong with his title as some one suggested. It is the postfix and not the prefix that denotes the demise, gramatically! So only if the title reads as 'AVR is no more', then it means something else. Go, Mani!
  BTW, coming back to the subject, when they were only showing the 'special' SS without any announcement that AVR is recording in some other place, i thought that his days are over at Sun TV. So, I wasn't surprised; but i agree that it is a great loss for all music lovers. His antics used to be funny, with his dancing etc. Wish him well!

  Just as many of you have put it, the show failed to produce the enthusiasm and attraction it did few years back. Infact the only programme my dad watches without fail (infact he doesnt even attend to phone calls between 10 and 10.30 am on Sundays) was Sapthaswarangal. But in the recent past, he wasnt very keen. That shows that the programme had become monotonous and even the participants were mediocre.
  
  Subhashree Thanikachalam was a good programme producer with novel ideas. The conflict of interest, to my knowledge, was between her and Sun TV and not AVR. Infact when she joined Vijay, her close friend - Uma Padmanabhan followed suit and joined Vijay.

  hey guys i am very close friend of ramanan he has even sung songs for my father. he was telling he got sucked up with sun tv. they were not paying him enough. he is coming out with is own album soon. his son does the music for that vignesh.

  anyway I dont think any body can do anything without aping AVR's style. Ranganathan was only making a light music orchestra announcement, with a stupid blush for everything he spoke. If they have decided to remove Ramanan, it should be someone much better than him. But like a lot f u mentioned, sapthaswarangal lost its lustre, after the exit of subhasree

  what difference does it make whether the programme was conducted by A,B or C. the programme was bad.Why cant some one sart something like what they had in the starplus---the saregama.the quality of the music was superb. everyone was prepared for the programme. Moreover the compere should not so loud like MR Ramanan(sorry folks!)Any way allmusic programmes are indeed better in jaya tv and vijay tv

  Dear all, As you all commented "Sapthasawarangal" has lost its popularity among overseas viewers as well. The host requesting the judges to comment about the programme and they compelled to praise the SUN TV for this programme. Mr. Renganathan is more suitable for presenting news rather than presenting such programs.
