Real reason behind PP delay

The story that is doing the rounds is that the release of the music of Paarthale Paravasam is delayed because three music companies are fighting over the rights of the soundtrack. That is far from the truth. The real thing is that there are no takers for the music of Paarthale Paravasam. After the resounding flop of Rhythm, Thenali and Star, HMV is bleeding and was thankfully able to make up due to the super success of Minnale and Majunu. No music company is willing to touch the rights of ARR"s music. No company is willing to buy the rights at the price that KB is quoting. That is why KB himself is heavily promoting the music on all the channels. Reports are that for his next film starring Shyam KB has signed Harris Jayaraj Sad state of affairs for ARR. How the mighty have fallen!!!!

  Yes, ARR has take care about his Tamil projects too.
  Might be he is devoting all the time to BOMBAY
  DREAMS, his latest albums haven't been interesting. And
  the recycling of songs, he has to stop doing that.
  Anyway, if BOMBAY DREAMS is going to hit the world
  with a bang and pave the way onto the international arena
  I think ARR will be rarely available to TFM industry.
  We will only see him on Hollywood movies.
  If Harris Jeyaraj is a hit, that doesn't mean ARR
  era is over. It's because he has other bigger projects.

  rhythm was a flop? really? hmm...didn't know that...actually it was a fantastic album, even it had only 5 songs...i remember have waiting for that album such a long time (like now for parthale paravasam)...with all these rumours about the songs resembling to the 5 elements and stuff like that...and i remember how much i then enjoyed the songs...they were really good...but now u say it was a flop? really sad...how come so many people have such bad music taste? or why don't they have good music taste? i mean minnale and majnu were good, but still, rythm was surely equally good...if not better...

  I thought the Songs from Rythm were very good - Nathiyae Nathiyae and Thaniye THannan-thaniyae were excellent! I agree Thenali and Star songs were yuck but Rythm was really good; classy good tunes that are hits way after the movie hullabaloo is over!

  If nobody is willing to buy the rights to ARR music, then why would KB opt for music by HJ for his next movie?I think it is all the overhype of HJ that is causing it.

  Rhythm was really a good album. nadhiyae nadhiyae, thaniyae thananthaniyae, kalakalavena pozhiyum megam, kaatrae en vaasal vaanthaai all these four songs were very good.

  I think today's advt in Dhinathanthi should put a full stop to insider's silly thread!
  
  The advt today for PP states in 3 places (twice in tamil, once in english) that PP will be released in only in HMV-SAREGAMA and not in any other label! That effectively means that PP is indeed hot property that is being contested by more than one label and that it is the onlyreason for it not hitting the stores yet!

  Dear ARR bashers,
  You guys are a bunch of disgusted and disappointed lot. Why should your love for Raja, undoubtedly a great composer, make you hate Rehman so much? KB may be well advised to look at the fate of 12B in the box office before deciding on HJ for his next movie. Whatever your frustrations may be, ARR is the only surefire success for cassette sales in Desiland.

  Well Insider, Providence did not call u 'Insider' right? U call yourself Insider, so I can call myself 'ARR', 'KB' or 'HJ'. But I have enuf confidence in the intelligence of fellow DFers not to be taken at face value (or names value).
  So just bcos u call urself Insider, we have to believe u r Insider?
