Deva... Deva.. Deva... still going steady

Inspite of various critcisms about his music, still going steady with so many box office hits like.,

Vallarasu, Ennamma Kannu, Kushi, Vetri kodi kattu, Thai Porandhachu, Ezhaiyin Sirippil etc.,

He also having promising movies in his hand already.

  Well, with all due respect, Deva has taken a lot of criticism from many DFers and non-DFers, but he has stayed firm and continued to do his prescribed duty. Also, hearing that he has a good personality, that is also an asset for anyone.

But as I have openly admitted that i'm IR's no.1 fan when I first came to the scene, I want to play it safe and also pacify that man before he himself finds he has a very feeble clone. And now that I am ripping off left right center from God knows who, I have to be humble and nice to everyone. I do not want to come to a sitaution when i'm standing next to anyone and later find out that I have ripped him off before.

  All I ever hear is criticism of Deva, but he does come up with some good tunes that noone else thought to write ... or steal.

  There is no doubt that he puts some good exciting original beats in his music. He also has a good ear for choosing the right singer for his songs .. like his use of Kamal Hassan are some of Kamal's best singing, IMO. Also, the production value on his film music (not solo gaana) is high grade. Not as good as ARR but pretty decent. And finally, the overall 'listenability' is good, regardless of where he may have snatched the tune from, the end product is worthwhile. I also like the passion he puts into his music, whether the tune is wholey original or not, alot of his music is 'sincere' in emotion. Just My Opinion.

  i kinda agree with u...no matter what he does, the end product is good....but he has to maintain some level...i mean he cant just use a ditto tune....he can improvise...inspiration is fine, but giving us the exact same song is stupid!
  
  and yeah....not that he doesnt have music knowledge...but he just chooses the simplest way to impress people...dats not the attitude that needs to have IMO....and if i am right, MSV gave him the name Thenisai Thendral? ... am i correct?

  Well C~P, I'm more critical of Deva for his commercialism ... aka shameless whoring .. than of his lifting tunes. However, I often enjoy the music he produces and will contintue to do so.

  Deva is still steady.
  Because he is more confident that he can copy from various source.Not like ARR restricted to copy only western songs.Thats why even HJ(a key board player of ARR) could overtook him.
  And morever he is very honest,admits about his copy.Not like ARR,lifting from western and denying that.
  
  Deva is faithful for TFM,since it gave Life to him.Not like that chemeleon ARR sticking somewhere.Thats why he is steady.

  Can u name at least some songs that ARR COPIED from "so-called" western?
  
  I say "COPIED" not "INSPIRED"...
  if having same sound for mere 1 or 2 seconds is considered COPYING..then haven we heard of Bird Chirping, Waves, Wind, and Thunder in songs before?
