  Mahendran's new venture is 'sAsanam', Bala bharathi is the MD for that movie. He is good though, but IR not working with Mahendran is sad.

  Sorry for using the same lines as Mr. Gopal, but that is the truth , fact or whatever you call. in my openion NMH is probably the first of its genere from Thalaivar in the 90's. And SPB in "haLLi lAvaniyali lAli" doesn't just kalakkufies, it is kalakko kalakkufying , I hope IR will give us more and more NMH especially in TAmil films also,Kangalin vaarthaigal song by Unni Kutta(Kishnen)is sodappifying I don't know same thing happened with "Geethanjali"(Telugu) when it was dubbed in tamil "I.Thirudadhe", Mano spoiled all the "la grande" songs sung by our SPB in tel.version

  Dear friends,
  The last 2 movies of IR in Kannada are "Hoo Male" and "Bhoomi Geetha" , the latter apparently is based on a story about environmental awareness and protection, supposedly IR has given great BGM as per Deccan Herald news paper's review , this was released like 5 months ago. One of my friends was telling, IR might win a national award for this movie again

  IR with two other kannada films - that should be stopping you right?:) NMH CD has seven songs (three movies) besides NMH. MY!! The way SPB, SJanaki have been tormented at the hands of some kannada MDs, is just inexplicable. I think spb would have downed 'salbEta' after the recording session to forget the songs!!!! Nothing else could have helped him overcome the grief!!

  First, I have to ask you something. I saw the movie NMH, great Rajkuma'r son is a promising actor. The first song in the intro of the movie was very short. The melody? Unbelievable, never before thinkable. Is the song actually short in the cassette/CD? Please let me know, I am dying to get all of my God's Kannada albums. NMH is not available in Chicago. But, you know something? I found PALLAVI ANUPALLAVI, the firts of Raja's Kannada songs, which I used to hear in Vividh Bharathi between 4:15 and 5:30 p.m. in that 15 minutes Kannad songs slot time.
  
  O Premi by SPB and unusual music, with a strange and so beautiful a sound in the backof the song is a rare piece of musical creation even ABBA would be envious of.
  
  The other Naguva Nayana SPB and SJ, man, I am totally drowned in peace that melody brings to my soul. Raja is definitely a God come down as a Music Composer!
  
  BTW, I am going to raise some questions about several similarities between Ramanujam ( discussed in the Oscar movie, Good Will Hunting) and Shri Ilaiyaraja.

  Is 'pallavi anu pallavi' directed by Manirathnam and later on dubbed in tamil as 'priyA oh priyA'? I saw the tamil version and it has couple of good songs.
  
  Small digression:
  'Good Will Hunting' is an awesome movie, isn't it? But somewhat this movie was overshadowed by Titanic. konjam varuththamAga irunthathu.
