I want to make a point here. I think many of the TFM fans here who don't appreciate Deva very much and who say Deva copies don't buy any of his CD's or tapes, including myself. I've never bought a cd or tape by deva in my life, and I hope I wouldn't in the future. I CLAIM DEVA COPIES.

CAN ALL OF YOU GUYS WHO CLAIM IR COPIES AVOID BUYING IR'S CASSETTES OR TAPES, SAYING THAT HE COPIES?

The Tezaab song "Ek,dhi,theen,char,panj,....."
had all the life meaning in it.
I would have never Known Hindi. And it did agreat favout ot Hindi Illitrates like me. It never been such a hit , if it is not copied from IR.
AMAR belives the tune is actually copied from IR's "Annay Annay shippai Annay Namma oRru nalla orru.." from KOLI Koovuthu.

The lyrics and the meaning is wonderful. Who wrote the song. Is it AMAR?

NEenga romba theevira IR rasigar. This is what I infer from your posts. But I am a fan of good music of all composers and hence will "definitely" buy a Deva album iff it is original and pleasant. I will still say he copies a lot of other songs. I hold this approach for any MD but have a greater attachment to IR because he has provided me the real treasure of music. It will be difficult to find anybody equalling his output in the coming years.

what is the pseudo-philosophy in 'akkam pakkam suthi paarthu thalaiku mela thanni oothu'. i dont think the lyricist meant any philosophy here. it is just the heroine directluy addressing the hero and asking him to do whatever she wants him to do, in this case pour water on her head, that's all. i dont think its a general philosophical statement.
