Hits of SPB 1998. Is there any?

I couldn't recall any hits from SPB in 1998. Is SPB being suppressed?

  -"Kaakkaala Kannamma" from Uravugal (could become a huge hit)
  -"Nadodip Paattu" from Harichandra ( a huge hit)
  -"Lucky Lucky" from Ratchagan (a disgrace for SPB's stature)
  -"Kaadhal Enna Kannamoochi Aattama" from a new S.A. Rajkumar flick
  -"Azhagaa Azhagaa Azhudhaal Azhagaa" from another S.A. Rajkumar movie.
  -All songs from Dharma, but I don't know if they were hits. I liked, "Manakkum Sandhanamae" from the movie.

  Oh! My God! None of you have heard the songs of
  RV Udhayakumar's veLLi nilavE? The movie
  flopped, unfortunately for the new MD, Karan,
  who has given a very nice set of songs in the
  movie! SPB has particularly praised these songs.
  Kumudham, while criticizing the movie badly, also
  added... romba varushangaL kazhichchu SPB-yin
  kuralil suththamaana thamizh uchcharippil azhagaana

  I think Hariharan has caught the trend and orangattufied SPB.
  I would say hariharan's voice is of classic type while SPB's is like of a casual one.

  I am not comparing SPB with Hariharan.I was just giving the fact that HH was taking over most of songs of SPB.
  I think everybody knows that.
  I am not bringing botht them and comparing.Each of them has theri own style and great in their field.

  What song did SPB sing in "Kannaedhirae Thondrinaal"? And another thing. Are there any 'beautiful' songs in that film. IMO, there are two 'not so bad' nos. "chinna chinnak kiliyae" (HH) and the one sung by UK. And the rest, all junk "Eashwara" (UN), "salomiya" (Deva), "Kothavaalsaavadi lady" (Deva), "chanda oh chanda".

  I think ragapriyan was referring to the songs from the film "Velli Nilavae" (MD : Karan). The "Velli Nilavae" song that you are talking about is from the film "Nandhavana Theru" (MD : IR). RVUK is the director of both the films.

  Yeah. You are right. That was a real good song. I think MD was Agathiyan.
  
  SPB also did a very good job in two songs in the film "Ninaithaen Vandhai" (MD : Deva) - "unai ninaithu naan ennai marappadhu" and "pottu vaithu poo mudikkum nila". But they were not big hits.
