Does anyone in this forum know who has written the lyrics for Hey!Ram. Keen to know in light of recent developments about change of music directors.

  All the lyrics of Hey Ram are by Vaali. Of course, Vaali is also acting in the movie.

  The Latest News: Source Mid-Day (Bombay) dated 24th Nov.
  
  KAMAL REPLACES L.SUBRAMANIAM WITH ILAYARAJA!
  
  Mid-Day reports the controversy over the replacement of L Subs with Raja. Apparently L Sub was asked by his Managare to demand Kamal Rs. 60 Lakh just before the movie was to be ready for preliminary release. And he also demanded that his photograph be splashed prominantly on all posters. Kamal felt the demand was too much to handle and especially unhappy that this came about at the nth hour. Since the negotiations didn't work, they decided to part company.
  Now IR is redoing everything, and Kamal says his work for the film is a masterpiece, a 'must-be' on the Film Institute archives as to how to do BG scores.
  Mid-Day's on-line version has an article on the press conference that doesn't include this news item though, but offers more facts on the movie.
  Sample this quote from Kamal:
  "Music is by Ilaya Raja, for whom this will be his 785th and 786th (Hindi and Tamil) films. There is no one more suited to compose the varied kind of compositions that we have in the film. As the film travels through time, so does the music. Of the six songs there is a happy, raunchy number sung by Hariharan and me. Asha Bhosle sings the theme song, plus there is a lavni and a mantra..."
