Tamizhan Worldwide Audio Release

The Worldwide Audio Release of Tamizhan is on March 15, 2002. The music is done by the new whiz kid, D. Imaan. You can hear all the samples at the official site of the movie. Here is the song list for now:

  I personally think this is a way better album than D. Imaan's first, Kaadhale Swasam! He's next to watch out! I love the Mattu Mattu song!

  Guys I heard the album and here is my review of it.
  Hot Party - Tippu and Mathangi - A very poorly sung song with very bad Tamil pronunciation. The music seems to be missing that something special.
  Tamizha.. Tamizha.. - Karthik - AVerage song sung well by Karthik.
  Mattu Maatu - Imman and Anuradha Sriram - Very disappointing song the vocals suck and the music seems disjointed and does not flow like a proper song.
  Lalala.. - Shankar Mahakevan and G.K.Lavanya - Well sung but not composed well.The interludes have no connection with the verses and therefore sounds like a cut and paste (Deva) job.
  UllathaiKllathae - Vijay and Priyanka Chopra - Surpirisingly Priyanka sings this song well and has good pronunciation.Vijay should stay to his day job of acting rather than singing as he just isn't a singer. The song is the best of the album due to vocals, but the song itself is not impressive.
  
  Overall I would give this album 5/10 and I think Imaan did better in Kadhale Swaasam,at least that was listenable.

  Sasha I too thought the music was hopeless.A big let down after Kaadhale Swaasam and that too didn't impress me much.I am posting this after hearing the songs many times and I stand by my views that it is awful and Imaan won't last long.He too will fade quickly just as HJ has.

  Whoever said HJ has faded away stinks with lack of inspiration!
  Samurai is the best HJ album and I think HJ and Imaan are serious threat to the veteran musicians!

  Just got the albulm here in London- and it sounds good. admittedly, it has taken a few listenings to get used to, but i really like it. I think that the picturisations will help the songs. it reminds me of 12B,where the music was ok on hearing, but then with the picturisation in the film, it seemed a lot better and relevant.i would recommend it.

  "i think vj has done a great acting in this movie compared 2 the others.it's really great watching this movie n it's kind of tonic given to the indian youngsters through the song tamilzha,tamilzha.i'm also kinda attracted to the song ullathai by vj n priyanka.overall i can give 95% 4 this movie.

  "Thamizhan" was HORRIBLE . Did not expect such a BAD movie from Vijay. He has tried to copy Kamal/Rajanikanth a lot. I was a GREAT fan of Vijay, (my friends used to tease me a lot that I had a bad taste...but I used to support him saying that he's the best actor around) BUT I regret now that I did it. Could not stand the movie....I will NEVER agaion watch Priyanka Chopra's movie. Horrible actress. Sorry Vijay, But for ur talent , u better pick up better scrpits.
