IR's appearance in movies

This thread is to recap IR's appearance in the Tamil movies and other languages movies, if any. As far as I remember, he appeared in the following movies.

1) Nizhalgal
2) Sadhanai
3) Pudhu pudhu arthangal
4) Karakattakkaran
5) Villu pattukkaran

Of course, his picture has been shown in lot of movies, which is not to be considered.

Any updates on this ?

  This is excellent subject. I am also wanting to collec these movies in my library. I remember the funny scene with Senthil in Karakkatagaran also with Gangai Amaran. It will be also good to know all GAs appearance this guy is very funny.

  What is that movie when Janakraj goes to sing or play some instrument for Maestro. Maestro is all smiles in that scene. And its one of the rare times I have seen him wear a red shawl.

  I can't forget the "Ivangala-ellaam thiruththave mudiyaathu" dialogue from the maestro ;-) he says it with such a straight face that I could not control my laughter :-))) In the movie (Puthu Puthu Arthangal) he chides Janakaraj for coming late for the recording. I think it is right after the car-laye dress pannindu, shave pannikara scene. Has IR spoken dialogues in any other movie ?

  Srinath: Bingo! Even I was amused by that scene. For whatever it was waorth, I concluded then that IR would have made a bad actor. He was pretty camera conscious.

  IR has also appeared very briefly in Balu Mahendra's "Rettai Vaal Kuruvi" where the heroine appears before him for an audition and sings a song.

  * the singer who sings opposite mohan in his lok-lok "maNiyOsai kEttu ezhundhu" is the wife of V.Kumar.

  I recently saw a Ramarajan movie in which the village
  folk want to arrange a music programme for temple
  benifit fund and Senthil suggests IR. They all
  come to meet him in the rec studio and mistake
  Gangai Amaran to be IR, fall in his feet and ask
  him to give a programme for their village. While
  this is going on outside, IR comes out with a
  group of people from the studio. Senthil spotts him,
  points to GA as a duplicate, and says the real man
  is there, and so they all run towards IR. He listens
  to them and says, `Sorry, I don't have time, but
  GA can do it for you, I will put in a word' etc.
  and walks off. Then they all come back to GA,
  who looks out for Senthil, who is behind everyone,
  hiding. This is a movie produced by IR, but I
  forgot the name.
  
  Doesn't the andhi mazhai song have IR

  Ragapriyan the movie is Villuppattukkaran!!!!! It is a very funny scene. I watched GA, Senthil, Goundu sparring with some great jokes several times.

  Thanks for pointing out the Dharmapathini appearance? Of course, who can forget that hit song nAn thEdum in Dharmavati?
  
  In the original Chinnavar song in the movie, he didn't appear. When it was previewed in TV during Diwali, he was shown composing the song. It was an interesting interview with Ilayaraja I remember. He would chide at one of his violinists who was not in sync with the other violinists "enna avasaram, konjam meduvA". "andha violin section-a marupadiyum pondunga".
  That violin section in the 1st interlude in the song anthiyile vAnam was excellent.
  
  Any of you remember Sadhanai scene, where Sivaji, the director of a movie (as per the story) narrates a situation to IR and asks for a song. He would address IR as "ennappA rAjarishi, eppadi irukkE?". That song would begin like "O vAnampAdi, unnai nAdi....".
