Ethil suvai athigam?

Folks,
We have listened to Vande Mataram of IR from Bharathy and Maa Tujhe Salaam of ARR.
Which portrays the best "naatru patru" of these two without bringing in the latest hip hop trend in music.

my vote goes to Bharathy's Vande Mataram. It is fresh, Original, reflecting the 40's moods while ARR's version seems to be more catchy but artificial.

  creating new tunes from old songs and getting
  inspired by western,spanish music?
  
  Talking about the Jalra, I think people
  like you are doing it better for ARR and may
  be your advice in the last sentence is

  ARR's VM is more catchy and gives some 'modern' unarrvughal. IR's VM is more to creating..no..no..instilling the real meaning of VM in every INDIANs heart. Both MDs had tried in their own way, but as long as this particular song VM is concerned, it is the admiration of the lyrics that is most important. Ennakkhu terinchathey sollidhen.
