Did Deva do justice to the movie Seenu remake of Bharatham in tamil

As you all know as usual Deva is the no 1 musician for this deepavali also.
The news is Deva has scored music for P Vasu's film Seenu which is a remake of the classic movie Bharatham in malayalam.
Now the highlight of the movie itself is the music esp. classical music ,wonderfully scored by Ravindran now has Deva done a work equal or surparssing Bhartham the result is big no in my opinon what do you guys have to say on this.
Have you listened to music of Seenu :)

  TO my knowledge, Deva's classical knowledge is not that bad. One good example is "porul thEdum boomiyil" from kalki rendered soulfully by chithra. If he can do numbers comparable to the kalki song, I will be more than happy to buy that in tamil. But, I am definitely skeptical as to whether he will give a score which is qualitativley comparable with bharatham. And as people say it is, after all , a vasu film :-) He may have the same attitude too :-)

  and movie name is Seenu,initally Vasu used the title 'Thambikku Oru pattu'.
  Now sorry to bring this topic again.
  I personally think IR would have done a good job,like Sindhubhairavi,but the present IR music ?
  I think we need a solid Director who should demand IR and get gems out of IR but no directors are preferring IR.
  Anyway lets get to the topic.

  IMO, all the songs in this movie are below average - why even compare it with a classic like Bharatham!

  As a dheva album, it is good. Compare it with bharatham, you call it cheap.
  
  I guess Ramakathaa gaanalayam's tamil version is the "paadugiren oru paattu". KJY vs UK. UK loses, though the song is not that bad. Had it been sung by KJY with the voice he had during Bharatham's recording, it would have been a classic, I guess.
  
  Unni's voice is light. Does not fit into the mould. HH's pronunciation tempts me for suicide. The song of my choice in the film is "vanakkam vanakkam" though the lyrics sound as if they had not been written with any attention. I gues the dummy lyrics had been used as such. junk. Despite that, the tune stays in mind.

  MS - I feel Unni's rendering is not at fault.. that is probably the best a person could do given the tune... the tune itself is light - May be this movie is not intended to be as classical as Bharantham is - who knows! I did not find the tune appealing... I would not even compare it with the "Raamakathaa" song...

  You cannot take two songs which are not of same quality and compare the singer's performance for the song.In 99% of the cases the singer is only as good as the song.
  
  So,I agree with IR in saying UnniKrishnan did his best given that song.We have already seen many instances when the tune was wonderful UK has taken the song to a higher level.

  I can never imagine Karthik to portray Mohanlal role and that too with his French beard. Also, is that the movie which has "Dey Nandhakumara .....blah...blah". Simply pathetic based on the film it was actually based on.
