  Raja appears to have a good time with the Sat TV fellows currently... last week toppers were HR & KN with kAkkai..also appearing in the top 10. In addition, the lady of pepsi program telecast one kAkkai song advertising as `the choice of all'!

  Iam really surprised at Kamal going to ARR for
  many reasons.
  
  1. During the making of Indian, kamal had lots
  of problems with the tunes ARR had composed
  and couldn't do anything as Shankar(the
  director) liked the tunes.This was reported
  both in AV and Kumudham.
  2. Also Hey Ram's music was the biggest success
  of the movie and the cassette sales were
  excellent going by all the reports and so
  Kamal can't blame IR for the movie not
  doing as expected.
  
  I hope Kamal will not have problems with ARR
  like he had with L.Subs during the making of
  Hey Ram and come (as usual) for rescue to IR.
  
  I personally have no good opinion of the director KSR as he churns out movie after movie with nothing in it.People compare him to SPM but
  atleast SPM had Rajini,Kamal at their youthful
  best and IR at his musical best which added lots
  of value to his movies.It is a pity that Kamal
  had to work with such directors to continue to be
  a commercial hero.

  I too was surprised. I thought that Kamal and ARR would never work together after their problems during the making of "Indian". I don't think the choice of MD was Kamal's. Probably, it is KSRK's. But KSRK is known for making films in a short duration of time and so ARR is not the correct choice for him either. Before the release of "Padayappa", when reporters asked him when it was slated to release, he answered, "Ask ARR". So, Aandavanukke veLicham. However, I too hope that Kamal will have no problems with ARR and the film does well.

  It must be Kamal's decision. As for as KSRK is concerned, I don't think he bothered much about MD. He worked with all MDs excepting IR for the reasons best known to him. And hence I feel it could be Kamal. Well who knows it could be sentiment. The worst thing to happen for IR/KR/YSR is that most of the movies to which they scored music failed recent times. It must be a real bad luck because though music was good the movies failed. So it could be SENTIMENT. Pls don't rule this out in cine field. At worst times all bad things happen. Just my opinion

  STS, KSRK has worked with IR in "Periya Kudumbam". It had a couple of good songs. Kamal's first choice has always been IR. Since KSRK is also the producer of the film and also since the film will be dubbed in Telugu and Hindi, he must have opted for ARR because of the popularity of the MD in Thamizh, Telugu as well as Bollywood.

  Talking about Indian,the songs in that movie
  had no relevance for the movie's story and so
  that fitted ARR's usual style of trying to
  fit the movie's requirements for his music.
  The BGM of Indian is one of the worst I
  have heard and the screaming sound in many
  important scenes annoyed me so much.ARR has
  never succeeded in trying to fit his music
  to the film's needs as he doesn't have the versatility for that.
  
  Looks like the big bucks(as reported in
  the Hindu article) attracted Kamal
  so much that he kept his eyes and ears wide
  shut and decided to work with ARR putting
  the differences that they had during the making
  of Indian behind(atleast temporarily).
  
  Why can't kamal choose IR as the MD directly
  without coming to him for rescue when his
  other choice fails him miserably?
  
  Poor IR he would continue to help Kamal in
  the future as well when Kamal will seek his help
  after getting dumped by his original choice.
  Kamal will continue to give such emotional
  interviews like the one he gave for Screen
  mentioning IR as his family friend.
  
  Looks like qualities like gratitude etc have
  become rare in this world(especially in the
  cine field) and Kamal has forgotten who came
  to his rescue when he had differences with LSubs
  during the making of Hey Ram.
  
  Could ARR have composed the sort of music
  that we got to hear in Hey Ram at such a short
  amount of time(that it took IR for the music
  to be composed)?
  
  None of KSR's movies have done well after
  Padayappa(which ofcourse had Rajini factor in
  its favour) and probably this might continue
  that trend unless Kamal does Avvai Shanmughi II.
  It has been a while since he did such type
  of roles.

  I didn't realise that my previous posting became so long.But I wanted to express my displeasure at IR getting dumped by Kamal after the hard work in Hey Ram.
  
  Talking about failures,ARR's many movies have
  flopped during the last one year in tamil and hindi and I won't believe sentiment as a reason.

  oh wow, talking about Sentiment, i never knew Sethu was a flop.... well, it for sure is not running because of IR, but still, if its senti that IR's movies flop, that does'nt apply to this movie...
  
  so is Tirunelvelli, which has done well in B and C centres....

  Happened to listen to Niram Piriththu from Time just now. I was immediately thinking of the song Andha neram poruthirundhal nalla anubavam kidaithirukkum. Very surprisingly similar songs. But could not recall the movie, MD of the song Andha neram...

  That "Antha Neram" song is from "Thillu Mullu" music scored by MSV.
