  I agree with Ramesh, Deva is a fake and a copy cat. He dosent have his own talent. He copies IR or ARR. That is his talent, COPYING.

  please ask deva to stop adamantly and continuously using anuradha sriram in all his film songs.
  chitra,sujatha,harini,swarnalatha.....and new singers are all in this field.
  like ilaiyaraja's family continuously using bhavatharini for their songs..deva is using anuradha.
  many of his good compositions are spoiled by AS's voice!

  of today.
  Look at his range:
  Chinna ponnu dhaan vekkappaddudhu(Vaikaasi poranthaachu)
  Priyaa priyaa o priyaa(kattabomman)
  Both the above songs are examples of how beatifully he can adapt to Ilaiyarraaja kind of asong.

  range from "saami padam "composing to ultra modern scores to dabbanguthu is excellent i feel.

  Deva may be a pachchai copy, but can deliver beautiful songs nevertheless. His latest song Saanakya saanakya is really very catchy although it reminds (barely though) Mustafa mustafa and at times baba kichu thaa. The song enna nenacha nee enna nenacha en nenjukulla onna vechu thacha-podhu is also a nice one.

  Deva had given good songs. Even if he copies he does it in style. I agree
  
  But by repeatedly copying, he should not show a new path to young MD, that by copying too one can move to fame. Copying Act should never be encouraged and must be killed in the bud.
  
  He may have market...but not constructive fans or critics.
  
  Most of his gana songs are lifts from old unpopular hindi songs. Eg.Parudaya Pardha from Amar Akbar Antony came as Soppu cheepu kannadi. Even Nee chirithal Nadai Azagu from Badsha is a straight lift from a old song. (A shameless copying guy cannot be compared to Genious like KL Mahadevan, MSV, Maestro IR, and ARR.)
  
  Instead of using the term 'Market'in this thread,'Potti Kadai' will be more ideal.
