Missing Mike Mohan.

Hi All,

Our past generation.. has enjoyed a lot listening to Mohans Song...

Why did he stop acting????
He shuld come back to the cine field (With IR's combination).. As this may bring IR back to form.. and give us more songs like Udhaya Geetham, Idhaya Kovil, Mouna Ragam.........

What do u say guys??

  Mohan stopped acting because there was a dispute between S.n.Surendar and him and Surendar stopped dubbing for him. The audience didnot like Mohan with his voice, so he was out of the field.
  
  By the by, can anyone tell me which was the last Mohan film with Ilayaraja?

  Heard this somewhere :
  Most of Mohan's chances came from the producer - Kovai Chezhian. But when his films became hit (courtesy : IR's music), he started bargaining about his renumeration. Then Kovai Chezhian stopped using Mohan.
  
  As IR_Fan_From_Kerala said, S.N.Surendra was the dubbing artist for Mohan. People got used to it so much that even in ads (Idhayama nallennai), people would say "Mohan has dubbed for this ad". Later, due to some misunderstanding or whatever, Mohan decided to use his own voice, which failed miserably. He has got a Kannada accent as well.
  
  All this led to the downfall of Mohan.

  Indeed, I missed many songs in the list. But u see it is very very difficult to place it in the top 5. I think IR used more number of Guiter pieces, when it came to Mohan. IR alwas had a passion for Guiter, I have heard a story I would like to recall, narrated by one of aged friend.
  "When he met Panchu arunachalam in 1976, it was he who asked IR to learn Guiter, to enter into films. In fact he sponsored him too. When IR went for the classes, clad in dhoti with a typical villagy look, some of the students used to make fun at him. But when he cleared all the 8 grades from Trinity college of London, that too with a Scholorship at the shortest possible time, they were stunned" it seems.
  In one of the interview in TV, by (Chitra) Visweswaran, he even said how IR plays with an 8 string guiter in different styles. Prasanna too has wondered about this in one his interviews.
  
  I am not sure about these things, but one thing is very clear. IR+GUITER has always become a massive hit. Eg.

  2. illaya nila pozhigirathu...
  3. Nalam Vazha Ennalum...
  4. Athdi ammadi then mottutan...
  5. Puttukkal podatha - Chattriyan...
  6. En iniya pon nilave...
  7. Kodai Kala Kattre...
