Whatever you are going to suggest, its going to help Devas and SARs. They are already masters in identifying such songs. Why do you want to put your effort for them.

Raja,
It is a pity that you want a continuous and spontaneous origin of music to reuse His own songs! In no time, the Maestro can create hundreds of songs that can easily beat the above songs qualitatively! I would like to refer the salutation in Subbudu's letter to IR:
"Idhu varai Isaiyil Ilaikkaadh Ilaiyaraajavukku"
I think I am clear now!

I didnt mean that he is running out of ideas. I have a feeling the above mentioned songs did not get the recognition it deserved. So it would be a good idea to give new birth to it. I have seen in english movies. like in pulp fiction they used 60's song , in goodfellas they used 50's song. they were instant hits. I know his abilities. Illayarja is the best composer in India. If he is 100 rest are below 25. Rest of the music directors are way below his standard.

Infact i want those songs to be used as it is. Not just tune complete song itself. This is just my opinion. If at all i make a movie i would use some of his old songs as it is not just the tune. In different situations his songs might get the recognition it deserves.

"If he is 100 rest are below 25."
100 in what?Just curious!
"Rest of the music directors are way below his standard"
What is the standard here?

I do not want make it an IR vs ARR contest, here. Its just about IR's songs. ARR may be compared with Nadeem shravan, Anu malik, Deva, Karthik raja, Yuvan sankar raja.. it would be apt. IR is in a different league. So do not bring ARR into this.

I think he may not have put it in a right way. But without exception all the others are way below the standard in composing compared to IR.
No punishment is enough for ARR for murdering vande madaram song with his frog voice. Bharadiyar songs were excellently used by IR and previous generation MD. ARR composed them like T.R.Pappa mellisai songs. He better sticks to what he knows best, copying english tunes and giving a new face in tamil. That works for him. It is better he stops with that.

4. Engengo Sellum - Pattakathi Bhairavan
5. Oh nenjame - Enakkaga Kaathiru
6. Poonthendral Kaatre Vaa - Manjal Nila
7. Manadhi enna ninaivugalo - Poondhalir
8. Then Poove Poove Vaa - Anbulla Rajinikanth
9. Solai Poovil Malai Thendral - Vellai Roja
10.Kaviriye Kavikuyile - Adutha Varisu
and much more.
Atleast if somebody remaster these songs with new sound technology it would be a treat for us.

>>> continuous and spontaneous origin of music
I Fully agree with Vijay on this - particularly after listening to his excellent songs in latest kannada album 'Usiree'., This man really has a lot in store for us, It is a real pity that Tamil Directors are Ignoring him. :-(

NagaS,
POP music has dealt a major blow to WCM in USA. Many labels including Sony Classical are in deep trouble. Decca, Naxos are in business only because of their cheap CDs ($7 vs $13/$14). This trend is happening in India. All these times we had 'Light Classical' we now have full fledged POP. So IR by todays standards is a Classical music composer (even though he was doing POP). The only reason I would like IR to do little film music is to stay in the public mind so that he can provide a market for his non-filmy albums (I am wishing these). BGM can also be his workout regimen for these albums.

IR TOO COPIES... IS IT SURPRISING ?
YAA. He gives life to his own tune. If he feels that his tune is not properly utilized he recreates his own tune in a different form.
Some Eg.
1. Kuyilukkuppam kuyillukuppam koburam aavadenna...Had its birth in the form of
Thooliyilay paadavandha...
2. Ennadi muniyamma un kaannula... as Ottha ruba tharen...
3. Vadi vathhalapakku vangi which was a flop in tamil... as Oonathumbil ooonal aadum chella..in malayalam sung by Jesudas was adjudged as best song in the state award.

I too have some songs in my list. But, what is great about IR is that even though he uses same tune to two or more songs, he some home makes it sound different and sweet. I once heard ,long time before, in TV that IR has composed some 300 odd songs in kalyani raagam itself. That's really great for him to bring so many forms of kalyani.

Have anybody listened to Uttam Singh ? How is he doing ? He used to be IR's conductor. Now he is a music director. Some casual clearly shows IR's influence in his music. Especially the usage of guitar, flute and string section show the influence. Though tune wise Uttam Singh he seems to follow the old masters in Hindi.

He scored for Yash Chopra's 'Dil to pAgal Hai' and showed a lot of promise, though I wouldn't rate the album very high. The music did very good business, but for some reason, the Chopra camp ditched him and he did music for a couple of Govinda starrers and continues to keep a low profile, while the less-talented Annu Maliks and Sanjeev-Darshans rule!
I noticed his IR influences in 'Arre re arre yeh kyA huah' from DTPH and his tunes though simplistic are at least different from the run-of-the mill tunes in HFM.
His daughter of the talented Sardar, Preeti Uttam Singh released a private album but she too is awaiting a good break in Hindi films.
