Any music experts recognize a TFM song that kick starts off with a well-defined rhythm and an accompanying bass hook? One I can think of is IR' Nattukkuley Silar Narikkal Irukkuthu (MV sung in Naan Potta Savaal) It is close. 99% of Indian films songs start off with a melody line not with Bass and rhythm (usually for dance numbers) I am eagerly searching for such a collection. Example of a BASS HOOK IS the bass rhythm that forms the song: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson

Kaadhal sadugudu has one of the best bass riffs. The song begins with a great one.

Vijay, where do I find the songs of Paatu paadava?
I have seen the film and most of the songs (Nil nil nil, vazhividu etc) are great . But I don't get to hear them often.I think the song you are mentioning is a lovely early morning song. rt?

mythila and vijay, really coincidenco coincidence. i was checkin in out only few days back. nil nil is amazing, vazhi vidu has got super interludes. poongatriley is another super song. here IR tries out paul mauriat style interpretation of famous classics and comes out far ahead of mauriat in originality (of course, IR' own tunes etc..) and execution.

Thanks a lot for the link, (!). Both the songs (vazhividu and nil nil) have very complex notes. Nil Nil seems to be Vasantha.Strokes of a genius indeed!!!

mythila, you can find the mp3s of these songs if you download a software called Directconnect and connect to indianhub.no-ip.org where there are quite a few users sharing songs. Poongaatriley is a must-listen song. Yes, its the early morning song that you are referring to.
