Srruthi Music Troupe - Humble Talented Musicians of Toronto

I am a fan of the Srruthi Music Troupe of Toronto.
I was at one of their latest shows last weekend and they took me by surprise. These guys performed live.. no sequencing.. no minus ones.. all live real time playing and they still sounded just like the originals. Great singers and great musicians.. I was mesmerized. As a matter of fact, I went to their show to watch Harish Ragavendra, Devan and Ganga perform.. but Srruthi (who were backing these artists) captured my heart.

I want to know more about this band. If any of you out there know about Srruthi, please share your thoughts and comments.

  Hi! Are you talking about Srruthi, the group that played in California in 2001? They were soooooooooooooooooooo good, but they haven't been back yet, and we want them back!!! Their show was really awesome, and my friends and I couldn't believe that they were all singing on their own! We went backstage to meet the band during intermission and they were really, really nice people! Really friendly, and definitely not snobby! California misses you guys!   hey there everyone.....wow by the looks of it these guys must be a really good band then....well...im from montreal here.....a singer struggling to sing with the average minded bands here that are not willing to experiment the vast diversity of indian music....im one of the top singers here in montreal and am willing to meet these sruthi guys....really very interested....any of u guys by any chance know...them...pls do help me out and help me to sing for a good band.....ive been searching for that for a very long time now....so if any of u guys have the contact no or e-mail of this group...i would be most pleased....alright thx....and have a nice day people!

  i totally agree! and that singer, i think her name was nithya or somethign, she was soooo hot!! i wish they came back soon! they should tell they're organizers to get a program in cali soon!

  Hi, I’m sorry if I said anything inappropriate, I think you are a wonderful group and not only Vakeesan but Nithya and Kavitha and the other girl who was wearing a red langa sang VERY WELL! Then again they are the three girls of Srruthi. Anyways I was wandering if the clone Tweedledee would mind giving me some digits to contact his clone Vakeesan with.   Hey y'all..
  I just learned that Srruthi Music Troupe is coming out with another wonderful show in Sept.
  I believe it is on the 11th. Apparently, the theme is to highlight the Carnatic Style Cine songs. From what I hear, it is going to be an all out performance with a whole new stage set up and presentation style.
