  The song is based on Nalina kaanthi. It's a uncommon
  raga and only a genius like Ilaiyaraja could've given
  a beautiful film song in this raga. I wonder if anyone has
  ever tried this raga for a film song.
  
  There is a lilting carnatic song "manavyaalakim" in this
  raga. Deva has used a rough version of the main tune
  in "manam virumbuthe"(Nerukku ner). This deva song
