upcoming singers

what should the upcoming singers do to achieve their dreams?how should they go into this profession? what are the basic steps?please suggest
because i myself am an upcoming singer

  Music is also like any other profession,wherein the success does not hit a person just like that. Lot of effort, hardwork and commitment are required to be there for a person to be successful. I am not disputing cases wherein godfathers might have brought up a specific person due to which he became successful.
  My one suggestion to you is to generate and retain a style of your own without trying to immitate the voice and style of any famous singer.
  In TFM I remeber cases of Kovai Soundararajan and Malayasia Vasudevan who at one point of time tried
  to sing in a TMS style.Nitin Mukesh in Hindi tried to make a photocopy of his father's(Mukesh) style of singing. You may notice that none of them could
  remain in the field for long.

  I too am an upcoming singer.I am from London and am finding that living in a country apart from India, makes it very difficult for people to acknowledge that there is talent abroad.I don't know how i can enter the field but i could do with any help anyone can offer and i will accept all advice whole-heartedly.

  i should tell you, if you are really serious and hardworking, location does not matter at all. and above all give me your e mail id so that i can post you some of the advices given to me by experts such as singer-srinivas etc.
